Date of birth

edit

Although the article says 28th, I have references that say 29th BBC and VIAF property 548. This article originally said 29th, but was changed back in 2006 with this edit by an anon IP. Internet searching seems to reveal that the 28th is the most commonly quoted, but this may just stem from the fact that the Wikipedia date has been wrong for nearly 10 years! I have not been able to find any definitive source. Does anyone have a reliable date of birth? Periglio (talk) 05:18, 10 February 2015 (UTC)Reply

Does anyone really care that much, unless they're intending to organise a surprise party for her? Getting the year of birth right matters, day of the month perhaps not so much... Qwfp (talk) 18:08, 15 October 2016 (UTC)Reply
Depends on what you want to do with the information. I became involved with biographical dates as I was working on a "whose birthday is it today" application. I only wanted a day of month, not worried about the year. Even so, we are here to produce an accurate encyclopedia. I agree, its not a major issue, but its a discrepancy that could be fixed by someone with a good source. Periglio (talk) 18:49, 15 October 2016 (UTC)Reply

The external link to the "official website" leads to an empty page. Is this a scam by someone who grabbed the name when it wasn't being used and is now somehow benefitting from all the wikipedia traffic? I don't want to remove the link in case it is somehow useful, but someone should look into it. THANKS --2600:1700:1C60:45E0:5CF7:A2D3:774D:D411 (talk) 08:53, 22 October 2021 (UTC)Reply

It seems a lot of the article was pulled from the sister German wikipedia article. They have some sources listed that this article doesn't. At least one source I followed from their page led to an English language article in the Observer. Unfortunately I don't have the time currently to pull the sources from that German wikipedia page and add them here. You don't have to be able to speak German for it, though. So, if someone is interested in fixing it, they could do it meanwhile --2600:1700:1C60:45E0:5CF7:A2D3:774D:D411 (talk) 09:25, 22 October 2021 (UTC) https://observer.com/2012/08/pop-star-jennifer-rushs-san-remo-spread-is-a-hit-with-buyers/ — Preceding unsigned comment added by 2600:1700:1C60:45E0:5CF7:A2D3:774D:D411 (talk) 09:30, 22 October 2021 (UTC)Reply
