Is this a thing? The List of yacht rock artists article divides the list into classic and new wave yacht rock artists, and includes Fleetwood Mac and The Eagles in the latter category.
Does this make any sense to anybody? I'm old enough to remember when New Wave Music was new (early 80s) and it makes no sense to me. A brief search turns up basically nothing other than one article that uses the term rather loosely. Mr. Swordfish (talk) 19:45, 9 November 2022 (UTC)Reply[reply]

Dispute about the term underground for NWOBHM bandsedit

A dispute arose on Talk:New wave of British heavy metal about the use of the term underground associated with a few British bands, which had limited notoriety and chart success during the New wave of British heavy metal of the 80s. Comments and contributions to the stalled debate would be much appreciated. Lewismaster (talk) 19:37, 24 September 2023 (UTC)Reply[reply]

I have just started a draft for mixed-gender bands, and could use some input into which ones are most significant, and sources for trends in composition and success. Cheers! BD2412T 05:30, 15 October 2023 (UTC)Reply[reply]
Note: I have promoted Mixed-gender band, but it could certainly still use some expansion. BD2412T 03:27, 2 November 2023 (UTC)Reply[reply]

Hello there. I have started a discussion for the article Foals (band) on their origin, and there is a bit of edit warring from an IP regarding the lead section on whether the band is British or if they are English. I have started a discussion on the article's talk page for this thread: Talk:Foals (band)#British or English?. I would like to see some discussion to see if a consensus could be reached on whether they are British or English. The categories say they are an English band, but IP (who refuses to communicate in talk discussion) persists that it is a British band via their edit summaries. So far, there's been no communication from the IP and users I have pinged. Also, adding this to other related WikiProject talk pages for their input.
