I added the nickname 'Kloppo', under which he is known privatly as well as the public/tv/print etc. + a link to his homepage (which is currently down, but refers to him as kloppo anyway). I may also provide further links if needed. Also created a disambig-page redirect 'Kloppo'.

Gegenpressing should be Gegenpressen. It is Klopp's philosophy of pressing constantly against your opponent and the German word is 'pressen', not pressing, as some in the media have mistakenly transcribed it. Honours section and runner-up inclusion

Why are there runners-up Honours listed in the Honours section? Being a runner-up is not an honour, and these types of things are not listed on most other football manager's Honours sections. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 66.57.214.242 (talk) 21:20, 1 March 2019 (UTC)

Would suggest that there be a conversation about consensus on this. This is treated inconsistently, for example - Klopp has the 2017-18 Champions League runner-up noted in his honours section, but Rafael Benitez's article lists only the 2004-05 win, rather than including the 2006-07 runner-up. Likewise, Alex Ferguson's page records two Champions League wins, but does not include the two runners-up positions (or any runner-up for other cups).

Personally I agree that it should only be for wins, but I accept there may be consensus already established on this that I am unaware of. The most important thing surely is consistency, and given that majority of other managers do not have runner-up listed in their honours lists, I will alter this page accordingly. I'd be grateful if somebody could point me towards established practice on this, perhaps recorded elsewhere - if it is the case that runner-up should be included, then it should be corrected on all other manager articles. While being runner-up in the league is not an 'honour', finishing runner-up in a final most definitely is -- hence why they all get medals. Can't see any reason not to include, particularly as making finals has been a standout feature of Klopp's career so far. Formulaonewiki 12:52, 2 June 2019 (UTC)

Hi, thanks for comment - I see the argument, particularly re medals. I think it's more important however to be consistent; if we include Klopp's runners-up positions here, we would surely have to ensure that other managers that have lost finals (including in matches like FA Community Shield or UEFA Super Cup) were included. I don't necessarily think once rule should, nor feasible can, apply to all managers. While I agree it might perhaps be unnecessary to list all of say Jose Mourinho's runner-up medals due to the excess of winners medals he has to his name, I think in the case of Klopp the runner-up medals are a more significant part of his career so far. Perhaps if more silverware follows we can re-evaluate in two or three years, but for now I see no reason to remove them. Formulaonewiki 13:58, 2 June 2019 (UTC)

August 2019

Following the 2019 Super Cup, I personally feel it's about time to reassess whether or not the runners-up medals should be included in the honours section on this page. While I am fully aware runners-up medals in cup competitions are 'honours' in their own right, I personally feel for a manager who has accumulated a certain number of winners medals, these runners-up medals become far less relevant when summarising a manager's honours throughout their career. Additionally (though being sensitive to the fact that WP:OTHERCONTENT is not sole basis for a convincing argument), I believe this view has more weight when you look at pages for other decorated managers such as Pep Guardiola and Jose Mourinho or even less decorated managers such as Thomas Tuchel, where only winners medals are displayed.

I was previously of the opinion (see above) that they should be included, but for me, the balance has tipped the other way. Interested to hear more thoughts on this. Formulaonewiki 22:17, 14 August 2019 (UTC)

New teeth

Klopp's new teeth, in 2019, have made a significant change to his appearance. I don't see why this can be deemed "not encyclopedic relevant". It seems to me that the change to his appearance was not so significant, without this edit I wouldn't have noticed anything. The article is about him as a person, not just about him as a football manager (although he seems to have got the teeth only because most of his players did). I guess how much of a change they have made to his appearance is somewhat subjective. Personally, I think they look incredibly different. Newsworthy even. The article says Jurgen Klopp retired as Mainz 05's Record Goalscorer, but the Transfermarkt Top Scorers: Mainz 05 Page shows a Karl-Heinz Mahn with more goals, retiring before Klopp. Is the record maybe 2.Bundesliga goals?
