does anyone know the name of the "cardinal"/churchman who Gwen painted repeatedly?

Véra Oumançoff

Is there a better source for Gwen John's relationship with Véra Oumançoff? That andrejkoymansky.com site is self-published, and in my experience rather erratic (I noticed them giving part of Natalie Barney's love life to Djuna Barnes).

Oumançoff seems to have tried to keep her at arm's length, and I had thought that meant that any physical aspect to the attraction was probably unrequited, but I don't really know very much about her life. —Celithemis 10:40, 11 January 2007 (UTC)

Gloriana

Can find no mention here of the play Gwen John wrote - Gloriana in which Sir John Gielgud appeared - any ideas?Excellentone (talk) 12:57, 24 September 2011 (UTC)

The playwright is apparently a different Gwen John, and pretty obscure (otherwise a disambiguation note might be in order). Ewulp (talk) 01:37, 25 September 2011 (UTC)

Portrait image

The new infobox portrait—which seemed rather unlike Gwen John—turns out to be the abovementioned dramatist of Gloriana fame (see npg.org). I've reverted to the previous image. Ewulp (talk) 04:58, 25 September 2013 (UTC)

Proposed page move

I would like to move this page to one with the new title Gwen John (artist). I am working on a page for Gwen John (playwright) so therefore need to differentiate between the two. There is no need for a move. This article is the primary topic, as demonstrated by results from Google Books, so the article name should be simply Gwen John (per WP:ATDAB and WP:PRIMARYTOPIC). A hatnote on this article would provide a link to the playwright. Ewulp (talk) 00:01, 22 October 2020 (UTC)
