I added further clarification for why that sentence about the op-ed was removed. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 99.250.152.194 (talk)
From the provided sources:
"However, the death of the ambassador of a high-profile state like China at this complex time – amid the coronavirus pandemic and in the wake of US Secretary of State Mike Pompeo’s visit, with stories about US pressure on Israel regarding China relations – feeds online conspiracy theories." [Jerusalem Post]
"His unexplained death came just days after he criticized comments from US Secretary of State Mike Pompeo." [DW]
"Wei’s death comes one week after US Secretary of State Mike Pompeo visited Israel in what seemed to be an attempt to convince the government of Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu to limit Chinese investments in Israel." [other article from the Jerusalem Post]
This is clearly mentioned in all sources so there's no valid reason not to include it... RandomCanadian (talk | contribs) 20:54, 19 May 2020 (UTC)Reply

Hello, I'm Abbyjjjj96. I noticed that you added or changed content in an article, Du Wei (diplomat), but you didn't provide a reliable source. It's been removed and archived in the page history for now, but if you'd like to include a citation and re-add it, please do so. You can have a look at the tutorial on citing sources. If you think I made a mistake, you can leave me a message on my talk page. Du was found dead on 17 May but his date of death has not been reported. Abbyjjjj96 (talk) 14:30, 20 May 2020 (UTC)Reply
Official death date is date of death confirmation unless the revised by doctor or forensic, so the death date should be 17 May 2020. -- hoising (talk) 01:30, 21 May 2020 (UTC)Reply
