Notability edit

Buttigieg now meet WP:NAUTHOR thanks to multiple reviews of his notable book, I Have Something to Tell You. This page could be expanded but I recommend only doing so if someone is willing to write a substantial page to get it started. A thin outline will be prone to WP:COATRACK. @Innisfree987: there is already an article that can be restored from the history [1] and then expanded based the book. TJMSmith (talk) 21:32, 19 November 2020 (UTC)Reply
TJMSmith, ah good point! Thanks. Ok currently a bit swamped but will do if no one else already has before I get to it. Innisfree987 (talk) 21:58, 19 November 2020 (UTC)Reply
@Innisfree987: FYI, I worked on this today and added info about his 2020 memoir that is on The New York Times Best Seller list. TJMSmith (talk) 03:13, 20 December 2020 (UTC)Reply
TJMSmith, thank you! The WashPost and Jezebel reviews (among others from the book entry) may be helpful as well. Though they are not entirely favorable as regards the book, they clearly take him seriously as an author, speaking to notability. Innisfree987 (talk) 03:44, 20 December 2020 (UTC)Reply

Any source for this mysterious name-change? edit

What it says in the title. During the campaign, Chasten was given/gave himself the nickname "Buttigieg", bur the lack of any verifiable source speaking to his legal name-change makes me think I'm just reading another tabloid, and not a site ostensibly for accurate encyclopedic content. The name "Chasten Buttigieg" should be cited as a nickname in the lede. --SchutteGod (not logged in) 72.197.197.39 (talk) 03:18, 17 May 2022 (UTC)Reply

I don't see any sources in the article that refer to him as anything other than Chasten Buttigieg. Adopting your spouse's surname isn't exactly a foreign concept. ITBF (talk) 13:30, 17 May 2022 (UTC)Reply
