– No clear PTOPIC here. Looking at articles on this dab page, Boeing 787 Dreamliner gets 5000 daily page views, the Mazda 497, the AD year 53, the Porsche 15, the highway 14, while others barely register. Search results for "787" are all about the plane. Alternatively, I can see a case for redirecting 787 to the plane as a WP:PRIMARYREDIRECT. feminist (talk) 15:07, 10 December 2019 (UTC)Reply

787787 (disambiguation) – Over 97% of outgoing page views went to Boeing 787 Dreamliner in February and March 2022.[1] I think that is the primary topic. FozzieHey (talk) 19:43, 5 May 2022 (UTC) — Relisting. — Ceso femmuin mbolgaig mbung, mellohi! (投稿) 18:11, 14 May 2022 (UTC)Reply

  • Oppose for now, but open to persuasion. The plane satisfies part 1 of WP:PRIMARYTOPIC but enduring notability and educational value seem less clear. Consistency is also important, and almost every other numeric title has either a year or a dab at the base name, the few exceptions being large and unambiguous such as 2525. I knew this might be contentious as other 7x7 pages are currently dab pages. However, I thought I would start with this one as it has the most outgoing page views to a specific article. Other 7x7 articles which may also have a primary topic:
With most of the outgoing page views for 737 going to different variants of the aircraft.[7] 777 was more varied with only over ~50% of outgoing page views going to the aircraft.[8] Perhaps I should've done a mass requested move here, but I'm not too experienced in RM so I wasn't sure what ones to nominate and how that'd work. I don't see a way to check historical page views with this tool but the Dreamliner was introduced into service in 2011 and both February and March outgoing page views from 787 seem similar (i.e. no big discrepancy between them, which might have indicated increased short-term popularity for a particular month). The way I see it is why get everyone to click a link when we can remove a link click for 97% and get 3% to click two links? FozzieHey (talk) 20:40, 5 May 2022 (UTC)Reply
I don't think WikiNav can be persuaded to show older views. The raw Clickstream data is available and the relevant entries can be extracted with simple software, but only after downloading a 0.4 GB (zipped from 1.5 GB) file for each month. However, it seems clear that earlier months (since the dabs were moved to the base name) would show similar results to March. Certes (talk) 23:36, 5 May 2022 (UTC)Reply
  • Oppose (strongly) per User:Certes above. In addition to enduring notability and educational value like Certes mentioned, consistency is also important, and every other numeric title larger than 100 has either a year or a disambiguation page at the basename.
