Speedy deletion of Krrish Returns edit

A tag has been placed on Krrish Returns, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done for the following reason:

dubious, badly written,no offical announcement from the producer, official site is not RS,production not started, not a valid poster

Under the criteria for speedy deletion, articles that do not meet basic Wikipedia criteria may be deleted at any time. Please see the guidelines for what is generally accepted as an appropriate article, and if you can indicate why the subject of this article is appropriate, you may contest the tagging. To do this, add {{hangon}} on the top of the page and leave a note on the article's talk page explaining your position. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the article that would confirm its subject's notability under the guidelines.

For guidelines on specific types of articles, you may want to check out our criteria for biographies, for web sites, for bands, or for companies. Feel free to leave a note on my talk page if you have any questions about this.

Orphaned non-free media (Image:Pokkiri image1.jpg) edit

Thanks for uploading Image:Pokkiri image1.jpg. The media description page currently specifies that it is non-free and may only be used on Wikipedia under a claim of fair use. However, it is currently orphaned, meaning that it is not used in any articles on Wikipedia. If the media was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why it was removed. You may add it back if you think that that will be useful. However, please note that media for which a replacement could be created are not acceptable for use on Wikipedia (see our policy for non-free media).

If you have uploaded other unlicensed media, please check whether they're used in any articles or not. Top 20 - The Official ranking of heroes in Kollywood edit

A tag has been placed on Top 20 - The Official ranking of heroes in Kollywood, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under the criteria for speedy deletion, because it is a very short article providing little or no context to the reader. Please see Wikipedia:Stub for our minimum information standards for short articles. Also please note that articles must be on notable subjects and should provide references to reliable sources that verify their content.

Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself. If you plan to expand the article, you can request that administrators wait a while for you to add contextual material. To do this, affix the template {{hangon}} to the article and state your intention on the article's talk page. Feel free to leave a note on my talk page if you have any questions about this. -- The Red Pen of Doom 17:23, 28 November 2008 (UTC) on the talk page of the author.Reply

Fair use rationale for Image:Indro2.jpg edit

Thanks for uploading or contributing to Image:Indro2.jpg. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is no explanation or rationale as to why its use in Wikipedia articles constitutes fair use. In addition to the boilerplate fair use template, you must also write out on the image description page a specific explanation or rationale for why using this image in each article is consistent with fair use. Suggestions on how to do so can be found here.

Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to ensure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.

If you have uploaded other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on those pages too. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "Image" from the dropdown box. Note that any non-free media lacking such an explanation will be deleted one week after they have been uploaded, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. Repost of Vettaikaran edit

A tag has been placed on Vettaikaran requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia, because it appears to be a repost of material that was previously deleted following a deletion discussion. The article you created, Vettaikaran is about to be deleted from Wikipedia.

There is an ongoing debate about whether your article should be deleted here:

The faster your respond, the better chance the article you created can be saved. This is because deletion debates only stay open for a few days, and the first comments are usually the most important.

There are several tools and other editors who can help you keep the page from being deleted forever:

  1. You can list the page up for deletion on Article Rescue Squadron. If you need help listing your page, add a comment on the Article Rescue Squadron talk page.
  2. You can request a mentor to help explain to you all of the complex rules that editors use to get a page deleted, here: Wikipedia:Adopt-a-User. But don't wait for a mentor to respond on the deletion page.
  3. When try to delete a page, veteran editors love to use a lot of rule acronyms. Don't let these acronyms intimidate you.
Here is a list of your own acronyms you can use yourself: WP:Deletion debate acronyms which may support the page you created being kept.
Acronyms in deletion debates are sometimes incorrectly used, or ignore rules or exceptions.

Fair use rationale for File:Sonofthemask.jpg edit

Thanks for uploading File:Sonofthemask.jpg. You've indicated that the image meets Wikipedia's criteria for non-free content, but there is no explanation of why it meets those criteria. Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale. If you have any questions, please post them at Wikipedia:Media copyright questions.

Thank you for your cooperation. NOTE: once you correct this, please remove the tag from the image's page. STBotI (talk) 07:09, 2 January 2009 (UTC)Reply

There were two deletion discussions on this: Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Vettaikaran and Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Vettaikaran (2nd nomination). Image copyright problem with File:Indro.jpg edit

Thanks for uploading File:Indro.jpg. You've indicated that the image is being used under a claim of fair use, but you have not provided an adequate explanation for why it meets Wikipedia's requirements for such images. In particular, for each page the image is used on, the image must have an explanation linking to that page which explains why it needs to be used on that page. Can you please check

  • That there is a non-free use rationale on the image's description page for each article the image is used in.
  • That every article it is used on is linked to from its description page.

Speedy deletion of Vettaikkaran edit

A tag has been placed on Vettaikkaran, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section G4 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article appears to be a repost of material that was previously deleted following a deletion debate, such as at articles for deletion. Under the specified criteria, where an article has substantially identical content to that of an article deleted after debate, and any changes in the content do not address the reasons for which the material was previously deleted, it may be deleted at any time.

If you think that this notice was placed here in error, you may contest the deletion by adding {{hangon}} to the top of the page that has been nominated for deletion (just below the existing speedy deletion or "db" tag), coupled with adding a note on the talk page explaining your position, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the article meets the criterion it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the article that would would render it more in conformance with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. Lastly, please note that if the article does get deleted, you can contact one of these admins to request that they userfy the article or have a copy emailed to you. OlEnglish (talk) 03:31, 20 January 2009 (UTC)Reply

Reposting deleted material edit

The article was deleted because it was substantially the same as the article deleted after this discussion. Previously deleted material can be deleted again on sight. If you want to appeal against this decision, then your only route is to go to deletion review. It would be a good idea to write a version of the article in your userspace that avoids the problems mentioned in the deletion debate. Regards, BencherliteTalk 07:49, 20 January 2009 (UTC)Reply

And you've done it again. Please stop. If you continue you may be blocked to prevent further recreations. Wikipedia:Deletion review is, again, the proper procedure for article recreation. -- Consumed Crustacean (talk) 02:23, 23 January 2009 (UTC)Reply

Hulk (film series) edit

Hello, since you don't have any content for this article as of yet, I've moved it to a subpage of yours at User:Thulasi12345/Hulk (film series) so that you can continue to work on it until it meets our standards for inclusion - once this is done, it can be moved back into the article namespace. I'd also like to point out that other editors are welcome to edit articles - your comments at the article seem to imply you believe you own the articles yourself; since Wikipedia is a collaborative project, we encourage editors to help out wherever they can. Thanks, and let me know if you have any questions. Hersfold (t/a/c) 05:03, 26 January 2009 (UTC)Reply

Hulk (film series) references edit

I noticed the article Hulk (film series) you created. I added 2 categories, but am sure you'll want to add more. What I wanted to point out to you is that when you copy from an existing article, you should take care to include all the references.

Sometimes a reference is mentioned in an article more than once. The second time you'll just type <ref name="name I gave before"/>. But when copying this reference into another article, this will render a "broken citation" notification.

I fixed all of them in this article. Now you know how to refrain from making new ones. Debresser (talk) 19:42, 12 February 2009 (UTC)Reply

MGR edit

You recently created a film article titled MGR and linking it on the Joseph Vijay article. Where are you getting such information from? All of this is just rumours. Please STOP creating such articles based on just rumours. Only create film articles once the shooting has officially started. That is a rule in Wikipedia. Eelam StyleZ (talk) 23:27, 7 March 2009 (UTC)Reply

Mr. Thulasi, are you sure you are not referring to the fake "MGR" movie that Vijay acts in the film Pandhayam? Also, the movie has not been officially announced, it is unlikely the movie will be made, because MGR is English. The article may soon be posted for speedy deletion by other administrators since it has not been announced. Please refrain from creating movie articles based on rumours, even though some websites may claim there maybe a film like that coming up. Articles should only be created when shooting has started. Eelam StyleZ (talk) 14:30, 8 March 2009 (UTC)Reply
Yes, I know Wikipedia's popularity, but it is not a search engine. It only provides information about contemporary and real/original topics. I am only explaining you the laws that Wikipedia has outlined to follow when creating articles. And no, films that have not done official announcements are not useful on Wikipedia because they do not allow that here. The film MGR is not an officially announced film, it is just a rumour being spread. Right now, Vijay's only officially announced film is Vettaikkaaran. You really need to review the laws here for editing in Wikipedia. Please keep in mind that the article might soon be contested by other Wikipedia admins and they may want to delete it, because currently the article meets the speedy deletion criteria. Eelam StyleZ (talk) 15:26, 8 March 2009 (UTC)Reply

MGR redirect edit

I did not redirect the MGR article. User:Universal Hero did. Check the history of the Mgr page you created. And I don't blame him for doing so. I told you someone else will soon delete the article.

If you want to keep an article like that for yourself just incase there really is a movie like that coming up userfy it, meaning make that article here [1] where it won't be deleted or not apart of the other articles. --Eelam StyleZ (talk) 03:35, 9 March 2009 (UTC)Reply

MGR edit

Firstly, I don't know what your playing at. Wikipedia is for proper articles which are notable. Your film MGR hasn't been announced, and is currently unlikely to be made.

  • There are no sources stating as such - with the google links only leading to Vettaikaran and the old film had MGR in it.
  • The fictious film in Pandhayam, which appears for literally twenty seconds.
  • Furthermore, FYI, Vijay's 50th film is directed by Jayam Raja and not Siddique.

Universal Hero (talk) 18:10, 9 March 2009 (UTC)Reply

It will be hard to take action on me for you, considering you don't know how to use wikipedia. Please read the rules regarding Films. You're "crystal balling". The article is up for deletion. Universal Hero (talk) 18:07, 10 March 2009 (UTC)Reply
You claim on the discussion page of your MGR (film) article that there are not much sources provided. Then why are you even making an article like this? You are trying to prove something that cannot be proven because there is no such thing! Who told you there is a movie called MGR that is being made? As I told you before, stop believing rumours and learn to speak reality. If you continue to cause troubles then you will be taken action on, not us. --Eelam StyleZ (talk) 21:38, 10 March 2009 (UTC)Reply

Replaceable fair use Image:Vettaikaaranfilmlaunch.jpg edit

Replaceable fair use

Thanks for uploading Image:Vettaikaaranfilmlaunch.jpg. I noticed the description page specifies that the media is being used under a claim of fair use, but its use in Wikipedia articles fails our first non-free content criterion in that it illustrates a subject for which a freely licensed media could reasonably be found or created that provides substantially the same information. If you believe this media is not replaceable, please:

  1. Go to the media description page and edit it to add {{di-replaceable fair use disputed}}, without deleting the original replaceable fair use template.

Category:Ocher Studios produced films edit

For every category you create, you should specify parent categories to which it belongs. You can do this by listing the parents near the bottom of the page, each enclosed in double brackets like so:

[[Category:Films by producer]]
[[Category:Tamil-language films]]

I've added at least one parent to the category. I invite you to check my work for accuracy and completeness.

I am a human being, not a bot, so you can contact me if you have questions about this. Best regards, --Stepheng3 (talk) 22:30, 14 April 2009 (UTC)Reply

Fair use rationale for File:Pokkiri.jpg edit

Thanks for uploading or contributing to File:Pokkiri.jpg. I notice the file page specifies that the file is being used under fair use but there is not a suitable explanation or rationale as to why each specific use in Wikipedia constitutes fair use. Please go to the file description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale.

If you have uploaded other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on those pages too. You can find a list of 'file' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "File" from the dropdown box. Note that any non-free media lacking such an explanation will be deleted one week after they have been uploaded, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. --Geniac (talk) 00:41, 15 April 2009 (UTC)Reply

File copyright problem with File:Warnerbroswithocherstudios.png edit

File Copyright problem

Thank you for uploading File:Warnerbroswithocherstudios.png. However, it currently is missing information on its copyright status. Wikipedia takes copyright very seriously. It may be deleted soon, unless we can determine the license and the source of the file. If you know this information, then you can add a copyright tag to the image description page.

If you have uploaded other files, consider checking that you have specified their license and tagged them, too. You can find a list of files you have uploaded by following this link.

If you have any questions, please feel free to ask them at the media copyright questions page. Thanks again for your cooperation. –Drilnoth (T • C • L) 16:18, 21 May 2009 (UTC)Reply

Orphaned non-free image File:Pokkiri.jpg edit

Thanks for uploading File:Pokkiri.jpg. The image description page currently specifies that the image is non-free and may only be used on Wikipedia under a claim of fair use. However, the image is currently orphaned, meaning that it is not used in any articles on Wikipedia. If the image was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why it was removed. You may add it back if you think that that will be useful. However, please note that images for which a replacement could be created are not acceptable for use on Wikipedia (see our policy for non-free media).

If you have uploaded other unlicensed media, please check whether they're used in any articles or not. You can find a list of "file" pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "File" from the dropdown box. Note that any non-free images not used in any articles will be deleted after seven days, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. Thank you. Skier Dude (talk) 06:38, 12 December 2009 (UTC)Reply

AfD nomination of Sekolah Kebangsaan Seri Setia edit

An editor has nominated one or more articles which you have created or worked on, for deletion. The nominated article is Sekolah Kebangsaan Seri Setia. We appreciate your contributions, but the nominator doesn't believe that the article satisfies Wikipedia's criteria for inclusion and has explained why in his/her nomination (see also Wikipedia:Notability and "What Wikipedia is not").

Your opinions on whether the article meets inclusion criteria and what should be done with the article are welcome; please participate in the discussion(s) by adding your comments to Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Sekolah Kebangsaan Seri Setia. Please be sure to sign your comments with four tildes (~~~~).

You may also edit the article during the discussion to improve it but should not remove the articles for deletion template from the top of the article; such removal will not end the deletion debate.

Please note: This is an automatic notification by a bot. I have nothing to do with this article or the deletion nomination, and can't do anything about it. --Erwin85Bot (talk) 01:12, 11 February 2010 (UTC)Reply

I have nominated Hulk (film series), an article that you created, for deletion. ArbCom elections are now open! edit

Hi,
You appear to be eligible to vote in the current Arbitration Committee election. The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. It has the authority to enact binding solutions for disputes between editors, primarily related to serious behavioural issues that the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the ability to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail. If you wish to participate, you are welcome to review the candidates' statements and submit your choices on the voting page.
