I've been hammering through the article with help from the live chat. The entire article has been edited to ensure it reads better. It seems my eng lit background worked against me! Hi Scr81, I can see that you have edited the article greatly, however I still feel that it seems too advertisery in tone. Particular sections included the "Later Management Changes and Expansion" section, which I feel is totally unnecessary, I'm sure a few sentences will suffice (like how you have described the earlier years) instead of a year by year list. I've provisionally come up with this: (I know it still need fixing, but can you help?)

In 1984 Jennings purchased the Yarm Road dealership in Stockton on Teesside and later the Washington site. Further changes came in 1995 when Jennings purchased the dealership in South Shields after Alan Bentley took over as Managing Director following a buyout from the Jennings family. Expansion continued with the addition of the Gateshead site in 1996 which now houses Jennings Ford Gateshead and the Transit Centre, the Cargo Fleet Lane Supersite in Middlesbrough in 2000, the first non-Ford franchise for the Jennings Motor Group - Jennings Mazda opened in 2003 at Washington, and purchase of Arriva Ford in 2003 which later moved to the former Ferguson Transport Depot in 2006.

By 2004 it had added SEAT, Suburu and a Ford commercial site to the Middlesbrough site and in 2005 another management buyout made Nas Khan the Managing Director.

In 2007 Vertu paid £2.6m to Jennings Group for its Ford dealership in Morpeth and in 2010 it sold the Sunderland site to Sainsburys.

In 2012 Leeds Harley-Davidson opened under the management of Sohail Khan, Nas Khan's son. In 2015 the Jennings Motor Group officially took over the dealership after a Management buyout and it is due to open a second Harley-Davidson dealership in Gateshead later in 2016.

With the change to Kia in 2011 at the Washington Dealership, the company opened Britains biggest Kia Dealership at a new Stockton site in 2013 and added Mitsubishi to the Middlesbrough site.

I attempted to change it but it didn't work - is the new format an acceptable compromise? I've removed some of the information and condensed it wherever I can. I think keeping it split into decades makes it clearer. I removed the Jennings Harley-Davidson section and incorporated it into the later management section. Thanks for message. Some problems

• The article appeared to signifcantly copy from their website (not the US weather page tagged by the nominator!)
• You need to provide independent verifiable sources to enable us to verify the facts and show that it meets the notability guidelines. You have relied rather heavily on their own website, mainly for history, which could be OK, but you need to consider how you use it, stick to facts
• The notability guidelines for organisations and companies have been updated. The primary criteria has five components that must be evaluated separately and independently to determine if it is met:

1. significant coverage in
2. independent,
3. multiple,
4. reliable,
5. secondary sources.

Note that an individual source must meet all four criteria to be counted towards notability. Your other sources are generally pretty good, but the claim for the number of employees is unsourced

• it was written in a promotional tone. Articles must be neutral and encyclopaedic. Examples of unsourced or self-sourced claims presented as fact include: I felt this was a chance too good for us to pass up on, and now we’re determined to develop our reputation of one of the UK’s leading Suzuki franchises in the Preston area. The boss's opinion is rarely a good idea in an article, and reinforces why you need to be careful using their website as a source.
