Federal budget

I posted this after your discussion on the message board also. Yes the budget gets put into place in the following year reguardless of which government gets elected in the most recent election. Because the budget is deabted upon within the democratically appointed system of politicians it should not contain bias towards a particular political angle. IMHO gven your position with FHS you have a WP:COI and should have at least gain some support from here before creating the event. looking at the target photo requirement suggested by a non editor(FHS person?) there doesnt appear to much benefit to Wikipedia from it. I meant no offence, and I apologise if my actions have been taken amiss! I certinaly should've raised it here earlier, but actually I hadn't really given it any thought — the date was chosen and given to the Fremantle Festival organisers by someone else, and I didn't really have the energy at that point for more than a "oh yes, that sounds fine" sort of a thing. But a conflict of interest? Do you really think so?! My aim is to improve Commons' coverage of Fremantle, and I really don't see how working with the Fremantle Society conflicts with that — we all want the same thing. As for conflicting with Joondalup, I am sorry that they're so close together, but if Joondalup had been planned for over a month, I didn't know about it. There was nothing on the Meetup page, nor on WT:WA; I do look. Please don't think I'm inconsiderate. Ok so maybe you dont have a COI but it sure quacked like it, "who is this someone else" why arent they involved in the wikiside of things at the very least the person making plans for using wikipedia should be a member of the community. The thing is OIC was the Wikipedian driving force for the previous Wikitakes Freo surely you would have contacted him to see if he'll help with this one. I dont doubt your intent to improve commons content but clearly the people driving this have other priorities, glaringly the shot list for the day will have scope issue when the photographs are uploaded. Its also going to have problems with personality rights and photographers will need to have release forms for images where the subject is the person, actually these should just be removed from the list. Just added Spare Parts Puppet Theatre and Fly by Night Club to the wikipedia mainspace - unfortunately there doesn't seem a lot of info on the buildings early history (ie actual date of construction, original uses etc) thought that you might be able to access something from the Fremantle Society archives. Read what I have added top the article - and follow your nose - the bridges, the related articles (for links), and generally the sections between the places are worth pursuing - Armadale to Pinjarra, etc - also the south west line, and by coincidince I have in my custody original survey drawings with o'connors sign on some :) - try to meet up with me in the next month or so and we might have fun with them (so to speak).. Yep, I reckon a good idea. I changed the case to match other subpages. :) I'm trying to get the freopedia lists all sorted and accurate (the FSP is rather confused about which plaques they've installed or something). No-one is likely to find their way to the latter article accidentally while looking for the actor, but someone knowing the cabinetmaker's name needs to be pointed away from the actor's article to the one they need. Hi, in this edit, among other things, you added a Northam Advertiser reference with no link to it, so I assume it is not available on-line (didn't check). Reference was not in the Old Urwin Building article that you merged in, in that edit. Do you happen to still have access to the article? And could you please add the headline of the article to the "title=" field in the current reference?

While I'm here, a second matter is whether there is more in this source and other sources about historical Masonic connections to the building. The extent of historical Masonic connection is relevant for discussion elsewhere about whether the building should be recognized as a Masonic-connected one and hence included in Category:Masonic buildings and in List of Masonic buildings. So it would be good to know how much did they use it, and were their actions there notable, e.g. if they hosted notable events or if their charitable actions were important for the town. Perhaps more info could be added to the article, if interesting. But more detailed info about Masonic connection could be noted in a Masonic-focused article or just serve in making the categorization decision (elsewhere). By the way in the U.S., many Masonic chapters met in 2nd floor large rooms, and some added fantastic murals and woodwork and other lasting changes that aren't evident from the outside. Both inside and external signs of Masons are relevant. Can you comment?

Museum of Perth location

Re: the location of the Perth/23 meetup

When I click the map link, the marker is 2 "shops" away from the Henry Saw Cafe and museum icon. Something's not quite right...

Also, while I appreciate the philosophical merits of OpenStreetMap, you might consider using {{coord}} instead, and let the viewer choose their preferred service. Google Maps has its faults, but there are times when Street View is really useful. (Admittedly the current images don't show the Museum of Perth, but at least you'll know what the laneway looks like.) Mitch Ames (talk) 03:27, 8 November 2015 (UTC)
