It's great to see the working group listed. So many of you, with newcomers too! Which day of the week does your group meet? --99of9 (talk) 04:47, 27 February 2013 (UTC)
The group has been doing some great work so far. We normally meet on Thursdays (next meeting tomorrow). We're also planning the masterclass at the moment (as we discussed after the training last November); Aliaretiree will email details this afternoon to make sure the date is OK with you and sort out content. Rubicon49bce (talk) 05:29, 27 February 2013 (UTC)
Sounds good. --99of9 (talk) 06:02, 27 February 2013 (UTC)

You're welcome. No, you don't need to do anything more, the article is already clearly good enough. If it goes through it will be linked from the front page of Wikipedia, and will get about 1000 readers in a day, maybe more. So any improvements you want to make are worth making beforehand. Also, if you have an idea for a better hook (essay), you're welcome to put that forward. --99of9 (talk) 08:17, 31 May 2013 (UTC)
Great! Re any improvements, will do. Rubicon49bce (talk) 21:44, 2 June 2013 (UTC)
It will be on the front page from 10am-6pm Sydney time on Thursday (June 6th). Get ready to send your tweets etc at 10am! --99of9 (talk) 10:38, 5 June 2013 (UTC)
Thanks for the headsup! We'll be ready ... :) Rubicon49bce (talk) 21:58, 5 June 2013 (UTC)

Just in case you didn't follow up on checking the hitcount for your article - it's now listed at Wikipedia:DYKSTATS#June_2013 after getting 8798 hits on the day it was listed on the mainpage! --99of9 (talk) 21:58, 12 June 2013 (UTC)
That's brilliant - I didn't anticipate it would get that many!Rubicon49bce (talk) 22:34, 12 June 2013 (UTC)

Hello Rubicon49bce, To answer your question on the suggestions page of the newsletter This Month in GLAM: yes, we are certainly interested in articles about that subject. The subject was already covered and I had limited time, but if you have a story next time, just write about it! The handiest way to start is in the newsroom. If you have any questions, feel free to ask me. Greetings - Romaine (talk) 02:15, 8 August 2013 (UTC)
Fantastic! We'll see what we can get organised this month.Rubicon49bce (talk) 06:22, 8 August 2013 (UTC)
It's likely to appear at 10pm local time on Wednesday. Last edits? --99of9 (talk) 21:52, 18 August 2013 (UTC)
Cheers, I'll make sure I have another look between now and then.Rubicon49bce (talk) 22:24, 18 August 2013 (UTC)
DYK for Joseph Backler
Latest comment: 10 years ago3 comments3 people in discussion
On 21 August 2013, Did you know? was updated with a fact from the article Joseph Backler, which you created or substantially expanded. The fact was ... that at the age of 18, Joseph Backler was sentenced to death for forgery, but lived as a convict and then painter to age 82? The nomination discussion and review may be seen at Template:Did you know nominations/Joseph Backler. You are welcome to check how many hits the article got while on the front page (here's how, quick check) and it will be added to DYKSTATS if it got over 5,000. If you know of another interesting fact from a recently created article, then please suggest it on the Did you know? talk page.

For precise, well-researched and tireless effort in improving Wikipedia's coverage of early Australian history. Euryalus (talk) 00:13, 4 September 2014 (UTC)
Just been re-reading Journals of the First Fleet and having a glance at Archie Barwick, and thought I'd say thanks for these and your other work. Early Australian history is shamefully underdone here, and your contributions are much appreciated. Euryalus (talk) 00:13, 4 September 2014 (UTC)
