- Thank you HasteurBot I'm having trouble getting the original documents I've been waiting for - official letters from the state of Maryland. Someone is working on it and they say I could get them this month. These letters are official appointment letters. The subject of the entry stayed away from the media throughout his 40 year tenure, so that is why there is almost nothing in the media about him, that I can find, especially online. I will make an edit to the page today, if I can, and follow up on the official documents to get a status in the coming week.

June 2021 edit

  You currently appear to be engaged in an edit war according to the reverts you have made on Shlomo Rechnitz. This means that you are repeatedly changing content back to how you think it should be although other editors disagree. Users are expected to collaborate with others, to avoid editing disruptively, and to try to reach a consensus, rather than repeatedly undoing other users' edits once it is known that there is a disagreement.

Points to note:

  1. Edit warring is disruptive regardless of how many reverts you have made;
  2. Do not edit war even if you believe you are right.

If you find yourself in an editing dispute, use the article's talk page to discuss controversial changes and work towards a version that represents consensus among editors. You can post a request for help at an appropriate noticeboard or seek dispute resolution. In some cases, it may be appropriate to request temporary page protection. If you engage in an edit war, you may be blocked from editing. TransporterMan (TALK) 19:27, 21 June 2021 (UTC)Reply

Thank you User:TransporterMan for looking at my dispute with Smntstatus over Shlomo Rechnitz page. I never wanted to go to war, but he seems intent on harming the subject of the page. I didn't see that as war, because I wrote reasons for my actions, but if that is the Wikipedia definition of war, thank you for educating me.
After my initial deletion and his undo, I put my intentions in the Talk page. I said I would work one paragraph at a time. He did not respond, so I did a paragraph deletion. He had no comeback on that because the man was never mentioned in the lawsuit or the sources for what he wrote and it wasn't about him, it was about a company and other people. So I did the next one and that is the one we are going back and forth on. I believed his arguments did not stand up to scrutiny.
Smntstatus personally added ALL of the negative content about the Brius company that is partly owned by the page subject - and companies that entity owns. So Smntstatus defends all of his own biased text. He wrote that he suspected I was being paid to undo it but I am not. He did that of course because he wanted to make me afraid to do anything, but I am nearly 70 and not scared by people trying to trash me so they can get me to go away - cancel culture does not work on me - unless I am kicked off Wikipedia and I will try not to do something that warrants it. He is a good writer and has mostly written this entry in a way that it looks reasonable, but I am an editor and I am used to reviewing and investigating written work. After looking at his previous work, I think I understand his motivation, but I didn't want to say it and start a war. All I wanted was to have others look at this entry and tell me whether it is allowed to libel a person for things done by administrators or others in companies owned by the company, or things that were allegations subsequently proven untrue by state audits. There is a lot more, but I am trying to unpick the junk he put in there, one piece at a time. I originally wanted to delete that whole section because it is about companies not the man. I have been using Wikipedia since it started, but I am not an expert editor here and I don't know much about the protocols and procedures. What I do know is that I've trusted Wikipedia in my research and it is not the place to damage people because you don't like them or their opinions (I believe that's what is going on here). The Controversies section contains two subsections - the company and religion. I believe that is at the heart of why this is being done to the man. I may be wrong, of course, but it looks fairly obvious to me, after researching it.
At the top of the Shlomo Rechnitz page it says this: "It may require cleanup to comply with Wikipedia's content policies, particularly neutral point of view."
The current state of that page is anything but a neutral POV. It is basically a hit-job lifted straight out of a website that was set up to attack the man and his management company. I want to correct that.
Is the company part of the Controversies section valid in this page? Is my position on this wrong? (i'm not asking you to side with me against him, I'm just asking for a third opinion.)
