No archives?

I tried to set up Talk:List of creatures in the Resident Evil series so the bot would archive it, but nothing is happening. Am I doing something wrong? --Explodicle (T/C) 16:52, 1 December 2009 (UTC)Reply

"|archive = Talk:Direct democracy/Archive %(counter)d" You need to fix that. --MZMcBride (talk) 17:44, 1 December 2009 (UTC)Reply
I don't understand, what's wrong with it? --Explodicle (T/C) 18:11, 1 December 2009 (UTC)Reply
You're trying to get threads from "Talk:List of creatures in the Resident Evil series" to archive to "Talk:Direct democracy/Archive %(counter)d" --MZMcBride (talk) 18:17, 1 December 2009 (UTC)Reply
*Smacks forehead* Thanks! --Explodicle (T/C) 18:27, 1 December 2009 (UTC)Reply
I think what they mean is that you have to change "Talk:Direct democracy/Archive %(counter)d" to "Talk:List of creatures in the Resident Evil series/Archive %(counter)d". If this doesn't work, try also changing "Archive %(counter)d" to "Archive 1". Hopefully this helps! --Hadger 00:37, 5 December 2009 (UTC)Reply
Already did it, thanks though! --Explodicle (T/C) 17:12, 5 December 2009 (UTC)Reply

Please undelete an image

Hi, a while ago you deleted File:Spring Fever (Yaoi Manga).jpg because it had been orphaned. I tried to upload the front cover of the manga Spring Fever (manga) from here, but the upload wizard gave me an error and told me to talk to you because you'd speedy deleted it earlier. Could you please reinstate the image so that I can use it on the page? Thank you. --Malkinann (talk) 02:20, 6 December 2009 (UTC)Reply

Done Please make sure it gets used, otherwise it might get deleted again. Killiondude (talk) 02:27, 6 December 2009 (UTC)Reply
Thank you! --Malkinann (talk) 02:41, 6 December 2009 (UTC)Reply

Miszabot

I just wanted to let you know the bot seems to be behind datewise in archiving my page. It was working fine for a long time but today it just archived something from October 29th. My time is set to archive after 30 days. So this is more than 30 days and a number of other threads on my page are now older than 30 days which it ignored. Its not a big deal to me but I thought you might like to know it might be having some trouble with dates. -DJSasso (talk) 14:03, 8 December 2009 (UTC)Reply

User:MiszaBot/Archive FAQ#Q1 reason 2. Миша13 15:16, 8 December 2009 (UTC)Reply
Hrm I thought I had it set to only leave a minimum of 1. Ok thanks anyways. -DJSasso (talk) 04:48, 9 December 2009 (UTC)Reply
No, what you set to 1 was the minimum number of threads to archive on a single pass (minthreadstoarchive), not the minimum number of threads to leave on the page (minthreadsleft). Миша13 11:03, 9 December 2009 (UTC)Reply

MiszaBot III

Hi, I noticed that MiszaBot III was having an issue archiving a user talk page here. I think that my edit will correct the issue, but perhaps it's something else... Thanks, –BLACK FALCON (TALK) 00:05, 10 December 2009 (UTC)Reply

b:User:MiszaBot

MiszaBot doesn't seem to have archived anything at English Wikibooks since early November. I know on my talk page archiving should have occurred prior to this point and threads at the reading rooms may be piling up. Thought you might want to know in case something isn't working correctly. Take care. -- Adrignola (talk) 04:24, 10 December 2009 (UTC)Reply

Is it possible to keep a single topic from being archived?

Is there a way to prevent a specific topic from being archived? It's not important, but if there is a tag like <!-- keep --> that could potentially be useful. (Great bots btw, can't imagine Wikipedia without them!) :)
Apis (talk) 09:12, 11 December 2009 (UTC)Reply

Read FAQ Q2: How can I prevent the bot from archiving a thread?, which explains how to do this -- PhantomSteve/talk|contribs\ 09:24, 11 December 2009 (UTC)Reply
Ah, thanks, and sorry for not cheking the FAQ first!

Archiving at WT:V fallen over?

It seems the last archive (34) was done in August. The page is now pushing half a megabyte. I don't see anything obviously wrong per the FAQ, but of course I could be misapprehending something. LeadSongDog come howl 18:51, 18 December 2009 (UTC)Reply

Surely the complete lack of a miszabot config statement is the issue ;> Fixed... –xenotalk 18:57, 18 December 2009 (UTC)Reply
Doh! How'd I miss that? Thank you.LeadSongDog come howl 20:05, 18 December 2009 (UTC)Reply

date links

I noticed that the bot automatically links and re-links dates without links. You may or may not be aware that the indiscriminate linking of dates is now deprecated. Could you possibly reconfigure the bot to not create date links? Thanks. Ohconfucius ¡digame! 04:51, 19 December 2009 (UTC)Reply

If by "indiscriminate linking of dates is now deprecated" you mean that all date links should be removed, then you're falling into the opposite extremism. That the dates are linked was a requirement specified by the Wikinews people. And portal space isn't even part of encyclopedic content, so whatever MoS guidelines there might be, they are relaxed. And stop fighting with the bot - just because you revert it a zillion times will not "change its mind" on this. Миша13 11:47, 19 December 2009 (UTC)Reply

WP:PW newsletter

The next edition of the WP:PW newsletter, Issue 58, is available for delivery here. Thanks, and happy holidays! ♥NiciVampireHeart♥ 05:31, 20 December 2009 (UTC)Reply

Hey, there seems to be a problem with the bot. It began delivering the newsletter fine, and then it got to User:Bam123456789, and seems to be just stuck repeatedly delivering the newsletter to that one user. [2] Any idea what's up? ♥NiciVampireHeart♥ 21:52, 20 December 2009 (UTC)Reply
Nevermind, appears to have corrected itself. Have a happy holidays! ♥NiciVampireHeart♥ 22:48, 20 December 2009 (UTC)Reply
No, not by itself. :> I happened to notice your comment, killed it and resumed starting from the next page. So, thanks for noticing and happy holidays to you too. Миша13 23:05, 20 December 2009 (UTC)Reply

fr:Utilisateur:Wikinews Importer Bot is needed for a new job

Hi!

Thank you for your bot which make a great job there. I just want ask you if your bot could import the b:fr:Catégorie:Livres terminés on fr wikinews ? It could be really great. Regards, Otourly (talk) 13:40, 20 December 2009 (UTC)Reply

Import in what way? In what form? Where to? Миша13 13:50, 20 December 2009 (UTC)Reply
As your Bots import n:fr:Page:Cyclisme/Wikipedia to fr:Portail:Cyclisme/Actualités/Wikinews, it should also import b:fr:Catégorie:Livres terminés to a subpage on fr wikinews. Otourly (talk) 13:56, 20 December 2009 (UTC)Reply
My bot doesn't edit on wikinews at all. <DynamicPageList> does all the magic generating those. Maybe you could use it to do whatever you need? Миша13 16:16, 20 December 2009 (UTC)Reply
Yes you're right, DynamicPageList is not still installed on fr wikibooks, but do you think that your bot could doing something, whenever this extension would be installed ? Otourly (talk) 18:50, 20 December 2009 (UTC)Reply

Wikinews Importer Bot variant

Edits by "Wikinews Importer Bot" are not appearing as bot edits in watchlists. Minor annoyance, to be sure, but seems like it is probably undesirable. — SMcCandlish [talk] [cont] ‹(-¿-)› 14:21, 20 December 2009 (UTC)Reply

I can't possibly imagine why would you have a page maintained by it on your watchlist. :> Миша13 16:19, 20 December 2009 (UTC)Reply

Partial archive edit

Hello, earlier today MiszaBot I removed old sections from Talk:BAC TSR-2 but did not copy them to Talk:BAC TSR-2/Archive 1 in this edit. I manually copied the sections to the Archive page, so no need to fix that. Maybe the bot is not working correctly or the archive settings I did are missed up. Thanks. -Fnlayson (talk) 02:35, 21 December 2009 (UTC)Reply

Looks like you found the problem, thanks. -Fnlayson (talk) 06:56, 21 December 2009 (UTC)Reply

Excuse me, I heard that you deleted the Montblanc picture ("Image:MontblancuWIKIIIIhehe.jpg"). Do you have the picture? If you do, put it on Final Fantasy Wiki, please. I am really looking forward to see it. Kuzlalala (talk) 10:18, 21 December 2009 (UTC)Reply
