Hey! Please know that you are appreciated. The corrupt and bullies are everywhere in life and Wikipedia is no exception. Don't let someone with friends in high places get you down. You do awesome work. Other long term editors like Anupam and Fylindfotberserk will also agree. Thank you for everything you do.

Zakaria1978 ښه راغلاست (talk) 20:32, 7 December 2020 (UTC)

"The corrupt and bullies are everywhere in life and Wikipedia is no exception. Don't let someone with friends in high places get you down." Please note valereee and Doug Weller these sorts of insinuations, violating NPA, from these two editors never seem, to cease. They appear together in many venues to oppose me. Fowler&fowler«Talk» 21:48, 7 December 2020 (UTC)
Fowler&Fowler, I am not going to waste any more time on this. I work in healthcare and I am very busy right now in my career. However, you called us "Tweedledum and Tweedledee"[1], you aggressively went after No such user with aspersions stating "Do you know anything about Indian history? You don't"[2], even a friendly editor Chipmunkdavis informed you to have good faith on your aggressive attacks on editors Femkemilene and EMsmile in talk:India,[3] and long-standing user The Rambling Man questioned your deceptive or untrustworthy message.[4] This is all within the last few days. Please excuse me, I did not even name your account above. I came here on LearnIndology's page to give them a kitten and words of encouragement. Have a good day, I have lives to save. Zakaria1978 ښه راغلاست (talk) 22:31, 7 December 2020 (UTC)
Just an FYI, I didn't frame it as a "deceptive or untrustworthy message", I simply noted that it wasn't strictly accurate and that a number of users would have been confused seeing it while noting that the user was actually semi-active. A couple of admins also opined, one of whom I have great respect for who managed to WP:AGF. The Rambling Man (Hands! Face! Space!!!!) 22:35, 7 December 2020 (UTC)
The Rambling Man, I struck it. The others remain, particularly the attacks on me and others. Unless proven otherwise. Zakaria1978 ښه راغلاست (talk) 22:43, 7 December 2020 (UTC)

Warning

LearnIndology (talk · contribs) Please do not follow me around, nipping at the heels of my edits, as you did at Ladakh. I did not make any bold edits. I simply supplied the full reference (with URL etc) that already existed in the article in the form of a false reference with date 1992 (of a facsimile reproduction of Franke's 1926 book). I have now added a recent book which states that Franke's second volume (which I have cited) is the single most important source on Ladakh. You have no record of any substantive contribution to the articles in which you oppose me: Talk:Presidencies and provinces of British India, Talk:Urdu, and Talk:India. PS Can @Bishonen, Vanamonde93, RegentsPark, and RexxS: please do something about this? As some of you know I am responsible for taking the initiative in working out a consensus NPOV language for the lead sentences on all Kashmir-related regions. That does not stop editors from adding POV-edits in the etymology/pronunciation as LearnIndology has just attempted to do in Ladakh. There is a limit to which editors, relatively new ones at that, can troll competent longstanding editors. Please do something. Fowler&fowler«Talk» 19:02, 7 December 2020 (UTC)

I was not hounding you. I have been editing Ladakh for a long time, before you even showed up. [5]. By the way, I'm not the only one who reverted your edit. Others have done the same because it didn't make any sense to do what you did.[6] LearnIndology (talk) 03:32, 8 December 2020 (UTC)
@LearnIndology: I don't appreciate incorrect characterizations. You are the 164th ranked editor on Ladakh, with three edits, the first made on 8 September 2020 in violation of the consensus achieved a year earlier at WT:INDIA (see here). I am the seventh-ranked with 45 edits, the first made on 12 August 2019. Moreover, I have managed the WP article on the larger disputed Kashmir region (which contains Ladakh) for more than 13 years, with 440 edits; if you have made any edits to Kashmir, I can't be sure but you are not in the list of the top 200 editors, which means you have five or fewer edits. These are the plain facts available in the Wikipedia statistics. As for my user talk page vacation notice, I would very much like to be away, but my NPOV edits attract editors who view my absence to be an opportunity (if not a warrant) to undo them. The last time I was away, in the second half of 2018, so much damage was done that it took me nearly five months to fix everything upon my return across a broad swath of South Asia-related articles. I view both LearnIndology and @Zakaria1978:'s edits to be at cross purposes with Wikipedia's goals. Whether you are feigning identities or engaging in high jinks by awarding barnstars to each other at the drop of a hat or attempting to elicit support by awarding them with abandon to others, I can't say, but after 14 years, I very much can recognize POV edits on Wikipedia. Please consider this to be a final warning. If you continue to make such edits, vacation or not I will take you to ANI. Please note that the editor most responsible for POV promotion during my last absence now stands banned. Fowler&fowler«Talk» 15:26, 8 December 2020 (UTC)

December 2020

You currently appear to be engaged in an edit war according to the reverts you have made on Srinagar; that means that you are repeatedly changing content back to how you think it should be, when you have seen that other editors disagree. Users are expected to collaborate with others, to avoid editing disruptively, and to try to reach a consensus, rather than repeatedly undoing other users' edits once it is known that there is a disagreement.

Points to note:

  1. Edit warring is disruptive regardless of how many reverts you have made;
  2. Do not edit war even if you believe you are right.

If you find yourself in an editing dispute, use the article's talk page to discuss controversial changes and work towards a version that represents consensus among editors. You can post a request for help at an appropriate noticeboard or seek dispute resolution. In some cases, it may be appropriate to request temporary page protection. If you engage in an edit war, you may be blocked from editing. Walrus Ji (talk) 16:22, 26 December 2020 (UTC)

Give this warning to User:TrangaBellam, as he is removing references without any consensus. LearnIndology (talk) 17:33, 26 December 2020 (UTC)
Please note that you are not participating in the talk page discussion Talk:Srinagar#Name. @TrangaBellam: has already commented there twice recently. If an admin were to intervene in this dispute right now, you will be blocked for edit warring. Hence I am requesting you to comment and share your objections in detail on the linked discussion thread. --Walrus Ji (talk) 17:44, 26 December 2020 (UTC)
I am obviously participating in the discussion. Please do not comment unnecessarily on my talk page like this. LearnIndology (talk) 20:16, 26 December 2020 (UTC)
LearnIndology, it is heartening to see that you are now participating. The fact still remains that you had not commented on the talk page discussion until I left you a note here. Hi LearnIndology, it looks like you have done the same kind of edit-warring with TrangaBellum on the Christmas day. You appear to have followed him to Torwali people and reverted a dozen or so edits of his with a wishy-washy edit summary and repeated it thrice. I see a pattern emerging here. Unless you stop this behaviour, I will be requesting ARBIPA sanctions. -- Kautilya3 (talk) 13:04, 28 December 2020 (UTC)

User:Kautilya3, please have a closer look at the interaction between these two users. User:LearnIndology is not the problem here, but rather the converse is true, e.g. Exhibit A. Note that I have issued User:TrangaBellam, a user with less than 400 edits who is already familiar with the knowledge of complex templates, a warning to discontinue this behaviour. I will be keeping an eye on things. Thanks, AnupamTalk 16:31, 28 December 2020 (UTC)

Important information

This is a standard message to notify contributors about an administrative ruling in effect. It does not imply that there are any issues with your contributions to date.

You have shown interest in India, Pakistan, and Afghanistan. Due to past disruption in this topic area, a more stringent set of rules called discretionary sanctions is in effect. Any administrator may impose sanctions on editors who do not strictly follow Wikipedia's policies, or the page-specific restrictions, when making edits related to the topic.

For additional information, please see the guidance on discretionary sanctions and the Arbitration Committee's decision here. If you have any questions, or any doubts regarding what edits are appropriate, you are welcome to discuss them with me or any other editor.  Bishonen | tålk 13:06, 3 February 2021 (UTC).
