Hello, DRCNSINDIA, welcome to Wikipedia and thank you for your contributions. Your editing pattern indicates that you may be using multiple accounts or coordinating editing with people outside Wikipedia, such as NS Dibyojyoti (talk · contribs). Our policy on multiple accounts usually does not allow this, and users who misuse multiple accounts may be blocked from editing. A tag has been placed on File:Dinesh Trivedi took oath as railway minister 2011-06-12.png requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section F7 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because it is a non-free file with a clearly invalid licensing tag; or it otherwise fails some part of the non-free content criteria. If you can find a valid tag that expresses why the file can be used under the fair use guidelines, please replace the current tag with that tag. If no such tag exists, please add the {{Non-free fair use}} tag, along with a brief explanation of why this constitutes fair use of the file. If the file has been deleted, you can re-upload it, but please ensure you place the correct tag on it.

If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. Speedy deletion nomination of Ministry of Sports and Youth Affairs (West Bengal)

edit

Hello DRCNSINDIA,

I wanted to let you know that I just tagged Ministry of Sports and Youth Affairs (West Bengal) for deletion, because it seems to be copied from another source, probably infringing copyright.

If you feel that the article shouldn't be deleted and want more time to rewrite it in your own words, you can contest this deletion, but don't remove the speedy deletion tag from the top.

You can leave a note on my talk page if you have questions. Thanks!

Message delivered via the Page Curation tool, on behalf of the reviewer.

John B123 (talk) 17:01, 2 December 2020 (UTC)Reply

There's nothing stopping you from rewriting this article as long as the rewritten version isn't a copyright violation. You need to rewrite the text from scratch in your own words, don't start with the text you copied from and make changes to it. Hut 8.5 17:43, 3 December 2020 (UTC)Reply

Request for adminship

edit

Hi, DRCNSINDIA. I see you recently transcluded a request for adminship. If I may, I would recommend that you withdraw the RfA or simply undo the transclusion, as adminship is generally given to editors with a very good understanding of Wikipedia's policies. Other editors are going to look at Ministry of Sports and Youth Affairs (West Bengal), a copyright violation from less than 24 hours ago, for instance, and conclude that you need a stronger understanding of policy. Please also read WP:NOTYET. You can still contribute to Wikipedia as much as you want, but I would recommend focusing on editing articles first for a while longer. All you need to do is revert this edit. Thank you, and please feel free to ask me if you have any questions. Enterprisey (talk!) 10:15, 3 December 2020 (UTC)Reply

I'm going to move it back to the Wikipedia: namespace, because there's no reason it should be under the new title, but I guess it can stay blank. Please don't move it. Enterprisey (talk!) 10:32, 3 December 2020 (UTC)Reply

Speedy deletion nomination of Ministry of Youth Services and Sports (West Bengal)

edit

If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.

You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.

A tag has been placed on Ministry of Youth Services and Sports (West Bengal) requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section G12 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the page appears to be an unambiguous copyright infringement. This page appears to be a direct copy from http://www.wbyouthservices.gov.in/. For legal reasons, we cannot accept copyrighted text or images taken from other web sites or printed material, and as a consequence, your addition will most likely be deleted. You may use external websites or other printed material as a source of information, but not as a source of sentences. This part is crucial: say it in your own words. Wikipedia takes copyright violations very seriously and persistent violators will be blocked from editing.

If the external website or image belongs to you, and you want to allow Wikipedia to use the text or image — which means allowing other people to use it for any reason — then you must verify that externally by one of the processes explained at Wikipedia:Donating copyrighted materials. The same holds if you are not the owner but have their permission. If you are not the owner and do not have permission, see Wikipedia:Requesting copyright permission for how you may obtain it. You might want to look at Wikipedia's copyright policy for more details, or ask a question here.

Fram (talk) 09:15, 4 December 2020 (UTC)Reply

::::Fram (talk · contribs) hey, all sentences are not same like this. I have written this on my own. http://www.wbyouthservices.gov.in/ is a reference and I have explained it on my words. Since you are considering this for less references, you are nominating to delete this.🇮🇳DRCNSINDIA (talk) 09:29, 4 December 2020 (UTC)Reply

Much of the page does not currently seem to be in your words. Several extended pieces of text are shared word-for=word:

  • "to improve and develop sports infrastructure in the State, as also to search and nurture sports talents"
  • "Emphasis is also given to promote vulnerable sections like women, schedule tribes and schedule castes in sporting arena. With this object in view the sports department has given emphasis on creation of stadia chiefly in the districts and sub-divisional towns."
  • "The Vivekananda Yuba BharatiKrirangan (VYBK) is one of the most important venues of this most prestigious tournament."
  • "Sports department provides grants to the West Bengal State Council of Sports, a wing of this department for promotion and development of sports and games."
  • "Keeping this in view, the Youth Services Department is trying to expand the opportunities for availing different kinds of training. Thousands of Student - Youths have been receiving Computer/ Vocational Training from the low cost YCTCs / YVTCs."

I hope this explains why the page has been been tagged for speedy deletion.Dsp13 (talk) 13:12, 4 December 2020 (UTC)Reply

Ok User:Dsp13 I will change it with new words and some points may be removed. But don't delete the article until I said to do so. Please respond my words to satisfy it. 🇮🇳DRCNSINDIA (talk) 14:57, 4 December 2020 (UTC)Reply

You removed the speedy deletion tag, which you aren't supposed to do in any case, but certainly not when even some of the examples kindly provided by User:Dsp13 were still in the article word for word. The changes you made[1] could never be enough to remove the copyright violations. Simpy replacing a word here or there just turns it into close paraphrasing, which is just as bad. You need to write an article completely in your own words, writing your own sentences, creating a summary of the sources, not a partial or complete copy of it. Fram (talk) 17:10, 4 December 2020 (UTC)Reply

Hat collection

edit

Hi DRCNSINDIA,

thanks for your interest in the stuff happening behind Wikipedia's scenes. The Task Center and the community portal contain helpful ideas that anyone, even without an account, can help with. The Signpost can be fun to read while diving into the meta areas.

That said, as I'm active at WP:PERM/R, I have noticed something.

I guess not everyone is so honest about their motives, but honesty doesn't make bad motives better.

Please stop requesting any permissions for the next few months, and take the time to gain experience with article editing. You have expressed interest in antivandalism; perhaps that's an area you may like to help in. If you have carefully read Wikipedia:Vandalism, you may like to start by having a look at the Recent Changes special page and carefully reviewing what happens there. Most of the time, someone will already have reverted vandalism before you have identified it as such; this is normal at the start. Don't rush this, and don't mistake all disruptive editing for "vandalism". Familiarize yourself with basic policies (WP:V, WP:NOR, WP:BLP, WP:EW); accept others' criticism if you are criticized for your first steps in this area. Please take the opportunity to learn instead of rejecting others' advice.

One day, depending on how helpful your contributions in a specific area of Wikipedia are, someone may kindly ask you to avoid the area in the future. This has now happened for "permission requests"; it may happen with other areas if you dive into them too quickly.

Frustration is understandable and human. But when you are frustrated about others' messages, please take the time to sleep over the issue. Don't hastily reply with emotions, as sadly seems to have happened in Special:Diff/992245030.

Best regards,
~ ToBeFree (talk) 17:18, 5 December 2020 (UTC)Reply

Speedy deletion nomination of Manoj Verma

If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.

You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.

A tag has been placed on Manoj Verma, requesting that it be deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under two or more of the criteria for speedy deletion, by which pages can be deleted at any time, without discussion. If the page meets any of these strictly-defined criteria, then it may soon be deleted by an administrator. The reasons it has been tagged are:

If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be deleted without delay. Replaceable fair use File:Manoj Verma IPS IGP 2020.jpeg

edit

Thanks for uploading File:Manoj Verma IPS IGP 2020.jpeg. I noticed that this file is being used under a claim of fair use. However, I think that the way it is being used fails the first non-free content criterion. This criterion states that files used under claims of fair use may have no free equivalent; in other words, if the file could be adequately covered by a freely-licensed file or by text alone, then it may not be used on Wikipedia. If you believe this file is not replaceable, please:

  1. Go to the file description page and add the text {{Di-replaceable fair use disputed|<your reason>}} below the original replaceable fair use template, replacing <your reason> with a short explanation of why the file is not replaceable.
  2. On the file discussion page, write a full explanation of why you believe the file is not replaceable.

Alternatively, you can also choose to replace this non-free media item by finding freely licensed media of the same subject, requesting that the copyright holder release this (or similar) media under a free license, or by creating new media yourself (for example, by taking your own photograph of the subject).

If you have uploaded other non-free media, consider checking that you have specified how these media fully satisfy our non-free content criteria. You can find a list of description pages you have edited by clicking on this link. Note that even if you follow steps 1 and 2 above, non-free media which could be replaced by freely licensed alternatives will be deleted 2 days after this notification (7 days if uploaded before 13 July 2006), per the non-free content policy. If you have any questions, please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. AntiCompositeNumber (talk) 15:49, 10 December 2020 (UTC)Reply
