Orphaned non-free media (Image:And One s Virgin Supersta.jpg)

edit

Thanks for uploading Image:And One s Virgin Supersta.jpg. The media description page currently specifies that it is non-free and may only be used on Wikipedia under a claim of fair use. However, it is currently orphaned, meaning that it is not used in any articles on Wikipedia. If the media was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why it was removed. You may add it back if you think that that will be useful. However, please note that media for which a replacement could be created are not acceptable for use on Wikipedia (see our policy for non-free media).

If you have uploaded other unlicensed media, please check whether they're used in any articles or not. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "Image" from the dropdown box. Note that all non-free media not used in any articles will be deleted after seven days, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. Thank you. BetacommandBot 13:34, 9 September 2007 (UTC)Reply

Your user page

edit

Hi Justgotdarker. It is sometimes said that imitation is the sincerest form of flattery, so I don't mind using aspects of my user page as a basis for yours. But in general, copying and pasting someone else's user page is discouraged as there are inevitably items in there that wont apply to you. In particular claiming that you are an admin and barnstars that were given to someone else is a no no. In this particular instance it really just doesn't look good. I suggest you blank the page and start from scratch inserting your own interests and background. As you may have guessed, your copying my page has been noticed by others. Thank you for your contributions to the project. Best regards... -Ad Orientem (talk) 16:15, 6 February 2020 (UTC)Reply

Hello Ad Orientem. I did not mean to claim admin status or barnstars from you. I must have copy/pasted your user page because I have trouble following formatting and your user page uses Info Boxes with fields like race, height, weight, blood type, Family & Friends type of information. I wanted to learn but find it easier to see how it’s being used. You left a lot of the fields blank ( field = blank) and I thought it was a kind of template for information and that I could practice with info boxes on my user page without causing issues on actual articles. I never liked the info box on the only article/page/entry that I ever created. I didn’t realize the importance of the fields at the bottom like Account Statistic, admin, and such at the bottom of the list. Although I’ve been a user for 14 years, I am a very infrequent contributor. I didn’t see your post on my talk page in February 6th and certainly couldn’t respond to the speedy deletion that happened the following day. I apologize for my actions. Ivy League Women's Soccer Player of the Year moved to draftspace

edit

An article you recently created, Ivy League Women's Soccer Player of the Year, is not suitable as written to remain published. It needs more in-depth coverage about the subject itself, with citations from reliable, independent sources in order to show it meets WP:GNG. It should have at least three, to be safe. And please remember that interviews, as primary sources, do not count towards GNG.(?) Information that can't be referenced should be removed (verifiability is of central importance on Wikipedia). I've moved your draft to draftspace (with a prefix of "Draft:" before the article title) where you can incubate the article with minimal disruption. When you feel the article meets Wikipedia's general notability guideline and thus is ready for mainspace, please click on the "Submit your draft for review!" button at the top of the page.Onel5969 TT me 11:30, 26 March 2023 (UTC)Reply
