Redemptive suffering

Greetings Hyphen5,

I started the article on redemptive suffering and then noticed that you state that you are in the process of writing it. Please may you attempt to integrate your work into the text?

Vote in progress to move Counter-Reformation to Catholic Reformation

edit

This move makes sense because Counter-Reformation implies that that the movement was against reform. Rather as a reform movement within the Catholic Church, it is most precisely known as the Catholic Reformation. This is now the more favored term in academic theological circles.

Please stop by talk:Counter-Reformation for the vote. Thanks, --Vaquero100 19:29, 13 June 2006 (UTC)Reply

Gastric bypass diet

edit

Gastric bypass diet

I see were you voted to have this redirected to the surgery page could you explain why as it makes no sense to get rid of very important article since surgery is one matter recovery is another. I am asking you to please reconsider your vote as this is too important to just get rid of. I have seen countless people after this operation get in terrible shape due to lack of knowing what to do after this operation.. Look at the references I supplied and see this is accurate information needed to be in Wikipedia --Supplements 14:05, 31 July 2006 (UTC)Reply

Gastric bypass surgery

edit

Gastric bypass surgery The article Gastric bypass diet you are referring to on this page I added that to the surgery page and put a link to the diet page as it would be too long for both.

I put references to the article but not citations because I didn't cite any one verbatim. I didn't think I had to as long as the information was consistant with the researched articles I used and referenced on the article. The reason you didn't see them is they were deleted to make the article seem unworthy. Trust me it was well reserched and is accurate information. I have supplied the references to the talk page as well due to them being deleted.

I reread your post and wanted to add something to your comment to me.

I am in this business the search for gastric bypass diet or what to eat after gastric bypass surgery is a very high searched term and is specific to this not surgery. What ususally happens is they (people who had the surgery)begin to get weak, hair begins to fall out, get sickly, among other things and they try to see what thet can do to stop this. This is why this is so important. I have no problem putting it with the surgery page it just would make it too long. --Supplements 18:40, 31 July 2006 (UTC)Reply

Fair use

edit

Is often a judgement call. One important thing to consider is can a free image be found to replace it. For a non-important portrait of a judge I think the answer is yes. That RellTakesOver photo is of an event that will not happen again (unless MAYBE Rell gets voted out of office and you catch them doing the reverse, removing the placard) and is therefore fair use IMO. Staxringold talkcontribs 20:15, 15 August 2006 (UTC)Reply

  • If you believe it is a fair use image and have made a good faith attempt to find a free image, and the image is useful (such as this image, a portrait for a bio article) then yes I'd say it is. Just make sure to include in the Fair use rationale that the image is of low resolution, no apparent extreme commercial value, used informationally, and no free alternative could be found. Diocesan Infobox

To the members of the WikiProject Catholocism

I have proposed at Wikipedia_talk:WikiProject_Catholicism an infobox for Catholic Dioceses. I have not gotten any feedback on this proposal, so I’m culling feedback, advice, corrections, etc. for this. If you have the time, would you check out User:SkierRMH/Diocese_Infobox and give me some feedback! Thanks much!! —Preceding unsigned comment added by SkierRMH (talkcontribs)

Image:JudgeCasey.jpg

edit

Thanks for uploading Image:JudgeCasey.jpg. I notice the 'image' page specifies that the image is being used under fair use, but its use in Wikipedia articles fails our first fair use criterion in that it illustrates a subject for which a freely licensed image could reasonably be found or created that provides substantially the same information. If you believe this image is not replaceable, please:

  1. Go to the image description page and edit it to add {{Replaceable fair use disputed}}, without deleting the original Replaceable fair use template.
  2. On the image discussion page, write the reason why this image is not replaceable at all.

Alternatively, you can also choose to replace the fair use image by finding a freely licensed image of its subject, requesting that the copyright holder release this (or a similar) image under a free license, or by taking a picture of it yourself.

If you have uploaded other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified how these images fully satisfy our fair use criteria. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on this link. Note that any fair use images which are replaceable by free-licensed alternatives will be deleted one week after they have been uploaded, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. —Angr 17:31, 29 April 2007 (UTC)Reply

ArbCom elections are now open!

edit

Hi,
You appear to be eligible to vote in the current Arbitration Committee election. The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. It has the authority to enact binding solutions for disputes between editors, primarily related to serious behavioural issues that the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the ability to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail. If you wish to participate, you are welcome to review the candidates' statements and submit your choices on the voting page.
