Wikipedia:Meetup/Boston/Wiknic 2017

The New England Wikimedians Picnic, the "picnic anyone can edit", will be held in John F. Kennedy Park in Cambridge on Sunday July 16, 2017, as part of the Great American Wiknic celebrations being held across the USA. All are welcome: experienced Wikipedians, new Wikipedians, and people who are not yet Wikipedians!

The picnic will last from 1 PM to 5 PM (though of course if people want to stay later they can!).

  • Date: Sunday July 16, 2017 (Rain date: tbd)
  • Time: 1:00 pm - 5:00 pm (come by any time!)
  • Location: John F. Kennedy Park, near Harvard Square, Cambridge.
Look for us in a shady spot near the corner of JFK St. and Memorial Drive (closer to the river). map: [1]
Note on transit: the closest T stop is Harvard Square (red line), a 7-minute walk away. Once you leave the T, walk straight towards the river. For those driving: MEMORIAL DRIVE IS CLOSED ON SUNDAYS - it becomes pedestrian only. Do not plan to drive on Mem Drive. Parking is free on any residential street in Cambridge on Sundays (though it is very limited in the area) and there are a few nearby garages in Harvard Square.
  • Potluck: Remember it's a wiki-picnic, which means potluck! Please sign up (below) to bring something!
