Please bear these points in mind while editing Wikipedia:
- Respect copyrights – do not copy and paste text or images directly from other websites.
- Maintain a neutral point of view – this is one of Wikipedia's core policies.
- Take particular care while adding biographical material about a living person to any Wikipedia page and follow Wikipedia's Biography of Living Persons policy. Particularly, controversial and negative statements should be referenced with multiple reliable sources.
- No edit warring or abuse of multiple accounts.
- If you are testing, please use the Sandbox to do so.
- Do not add troublesome content to any article, such as: copyrighted text, libel, advertising or promotional messages, and text that is not related to an article's subject; doing so will result in your account or IP being blocked from editing.
- Do not use talk pages as discussion or forum pages as Wikipedia is not a forum.
The Wikipedia tutorial is a good place to start learning about Wikipedia. If you have any questions, see the help pages, add a question to the village pump or ask me on my talk page. By the way, you can sign your name on Talk and discussion pages using four tildes, like this: ~~~~ (the software will replace them with your signature and the date). Again, welcome! April 2020
editHello, I'm Doug Weller. I noticed that you recently removed content from Militia organizations in the United States without adequately explaining why. In the future, it would be helpful to others if you described your changes to Wikipedia with an accurate edit summary. If this was a mistake, don't worry; the removed content has been restored. If you would like to experiment, please use the sandbox. If you think I made a mistake, or if you have any questions, you can leave me a message on my talk page. editI'm afraid that looks like a joke. Please see WP:UP#NOT. There was an ornithologist Henry Buckley, but you're not that ancient. Doug Weller talk 13:00, 5 April 2020 (UTC)
Important Notice
editThis is a standard message to notify contributors about an administrative ruling in effect. It does not imply that there are any issues with your contributions to date.
You have shown interest in post-1932 politics of the United States and closely related people. Due to past disruption in this topic area, a more stringent set of rules called discretionary sanctions is in effect. Any administrator may impose sanctions on editors who do not strictly follow Wikipedia's policies, or the page-specific restrictions, when making edits related to the topic.
For additional information, please see the guidance on discretionary sanctions and the Arbitration Committee's decision here. If you have any questions, or any doubts regarding what edits are appropriate, you are welcome to discuss them with me or any other editor.
Warning
editStop edit warring at Militia organizations in the United States or you're likely to be either topic banned from American politics or blocked from the article. Wikipedia goes by reliable secondary sources, not by what organizations say about themselves. Please compare Wikipedia:Reliable sources. And, as Doug Weller has already told you, please see our article 3 Percenters. Any further tendentious editing will be sanctioned. Bishonen | tålk 21:00, 7 April 2020 (UTC).
Links to draft articles
editPlease do not introduce links in actual articles to draft articles, as you did to 1st Virginia State Regiment. Since a draft is not yet ready for the main article space, it is not in shape for ordinary readers, and links from articles should not go to a draft. Such links are contrary to the Manual of Style. These links have been removed. Thank you. - Arjayay (talk) 13:54, 6 December 2020 (UTC)

August 2023
editHello, and welcome to Wikipedia. We appreciate your contributions; however, it appears you may have written a Wikipedia article, or a draft for a Wikipedia article, about yourself. Creating an autobiography is strongly discouraged – please see our guideline on writing autobiographies. If you create such an article, it may be deleted. If what you have done in life is genuinely notable and can be verified according to our policy for articles about living people, someone else will probably create an article about you sooner or later (see Notable people who have edited Wikipedia). If you wish to add to or change an existing article about yourself, you are welcome to propose the changes by visiting the article's talk page. Please understand that this is an encyclopedia and not a personal web space or social networking site. If your article has already been deleted, please see: Why was the page I created deleted?, and if you feel the deletion was an error, please discuss this with the deleting administrator. Thank you. OutsideNormality (talk) 18:22, 21 August 2023 (UTC)
The article Henry Randolph Buckley has been proposed for deletion because it appears to have no references. Under Wikipedia policy, this biography of a living person will be deleted after seven days unless it has at least one reference to a reliable source that directly supports material in the article.
If you created the article, please don't be offended. Instead, consider improving the article. For help on inserting references, see Referencing for beginners, or ask at the help desk. Once you have provided at least one reliable source, you may remove the {{prod blp/dated}} tag. Please do not remove the tag unless the article is sourced. If you cannot provide such a source within seven days, the article may be deleted, but you can request that it be undeleted when you are ready to add one. Speedy deletion nomination of Henry Randolph Buckley
editIf this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.
You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.
A tag has been placed on Henry Randolph Buckley requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A7 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article appears to be about a real person or group of people that does not credibly indicate how or why the subject is important or significant: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, such articles may be deleted at any time. Please read more about what is generally accepted as notable.
If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, and you wish to retrieve the deleted material for future reference or improvement, then please contact the deleting administrator. ~ GB fan 17:40, 22 August 2023 (UTC)

editHello, Hen buck. We welcome your contributions, but if you have an external relationship with the people, places or things you have written about on Wikipedia, you may have a conflict of interest (COI). Editors with a conflict of interest may be unduly influenced by their connection to the topic. See the conflict of interest guideline and FAQ for organizations for more information. We ask that you:
- avoid editing or creating articles about yourself, your family, friends, colleagues, company, organization, clients, or competitors;
- propose changes on the talk pages of affected articles (you can use the {{edit COI}} template);
- disclose your conflict of interest when discussing affected articles (see Wikipedia:Conflict of interest § How to disclose a COI);
- avoid linking to your organization's website in other articles (see Wikipedia:Spam § External link spamming);
- do your best to comply with Wikipedia's content policies.
In addition, you are required by the Wikimedia Foundation's terms of use to disclose your employer, client, and affiliation with respect to any contribution which forms all or part of work for which you receive, or expect to receive, compensation. See Wikipedia:Paid-contribution disclosure.
Also, editing for the purpose of advertising, publicising, or promoting anyone or anything is not permitted. Thank you. Liz Read! Talk! 07:05, 10 January 2024 (UTC)
- Hello, Hen buck,
- If you can not find something else to write about other than yourself, then I think you will find yourself indefinitely blocked as a self-promotional account. Your User talk page is full of warnings about this and what you choose to write about. I think this is your last chance unless you start applying your talents to writing about other subjects, like the rest of the editors on Wikipedia do. Liz Read! Talk! 07:07, 10 January 2024 (UTC)
Other sources needed?
editHello. Is there other sources for your article? Maybe sources not online? Maybe books about the legal career and honorary doctorates? Now they will delete your article. But maybe offline sources and books can save it? Please put them in your article. If you have them. I am trying to help you. They do not think the sources you use is enough. Yet. Unfortunately. :) --Hagesen 15:17, 10 January 2024 (UTC)
- We think rather more than that. We think that this kid's Wikipedia activity has just about exclusively been about fantasy wish-fulfillment, repeatedly making wildly improbable claims. Sixteen year old children, almost by definition, do not have legal careers or honorary doctorates, or are made cardinals, or become Kentucky Colonels, or any other such ... and come to that, I'd like to see a real source for him being a JP, into the mix. (One would think that a teenager made a JP would have not only hit the papers, it'd hit papers I regularly read.) Wikipedia not being a webhost, there's no room for that kind of puffery here. Liz is right, above. Newbies get indeffed at ANI all the time for similar acts, and pretty much the next such act from this account will seal the deal. Ravenswing 05:21, 11 January 2024 (UTC)
