Intermingling languages and ethnic groups
Hello, I'm afraid it's not very wise to put "Hungarian people" into Category:Ugric peoples or Category:Finno-Ugric peoples because it's practically only the language which connects Hungary to the Ugric peoples, nothing else. According to a genetic study by an acclaimed scientist, Endre Czeizel ("Genetics of the Hungarian people", ISBN 963-86336-4-6, in Hungarian), Hungarians have much more genes in common with the neighbouring Slavic and Germanic peoples than with Finno-ugric groups (sorry, I don't remember the exact percentages). This is what I studied at university (ELTE), too, when I studied about the Finno-ugric roots of the Hungarian language; this was the first caveat the teacher said on the very first lesson: distinguishing languages and peoples. So I'd recommend deleting these categories.
On the other hand, I don't have anything against Category:Finno-Ugric world because it may also refer to the language, which is related indeed. Adam78 12:39, 9 June 2006 (UTC)
Thanks!!!
Thanks for helping me out with the categorization of my Estonian biographical articles. Looking over your contribution history, I see you've done a lot for Estonian articles, and I'd just like to let you know that your assistance in the WikiProject on Estonia would be very much appreciated, if you'd like to join. This month, we're trying to get Estonia to good-article status. If you're interested, please feel free to sign up under the "Participants" header. :) Head aega! (Talk to you soon!) Estonia-band-stub
Hi - I see you have recently created a new stub type. As it states at Wikipedia:Stub, at the top of most stub categories, and in many other places on Wikipedia, new stub types should be proposed prior to creation at Wikipedia:WikiProject Stub sorting/Proposals, in order to check whether the new stub type is already covered by existing stub types, whether it is named according to stub naming guidelines, whether it reaches the standard threshold for creation of a new stub type, and whether it crosses existing stub type hierarchies. It is far from clear that your new stub type would have the 60 stubs usually required for a separate stub type, and as such it may be upmerged into a more effective stub category. Your new stub type is currently listed at WP:WSS/D - please feel free to make any comments there as to any reason why this stub type should not be proposed for deletion at WP:SFD. And please, in future, propose new stub types first! Grutness...wha? 00:20, 24 February 2007 (UTC)
- Thanks for this information. I'm sure that in the future I'll follow these instructions first. Flying Saucer 09:05, 25 February 2007 (UTC)
Buses WikiProject
I notice that you have edited lists of bus routes recently. You might be interested in helping with the new WikiProject buses, especially the proposed Bus route list guide. We are also working out when a bus route should have its own article and other issues. --NE2 15:42, 25 April 2007 (UTC)

Speedy deletion of Ajutine Valitsus
A tag has been placed on Ajutine Valitsus requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A7 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article appears to be about a band or musician, but it does not indicate how or why the subject is important or significant: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, such articles may be deleted at any time. Please see the guidelines for what is generally accepted as notable, as well as our subject-specific notability guideline for musical topics.
If you think that this notice was placed here in error, you may contest the deletion by adding {{hangon}}
to the top of the page that has been nominated for deletion (just below the existing speedy deletion or "db" tag), coupled with adding a note on the talk page explaining your position, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the article meets the criterion it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the article that would would render it more in conformance with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. Lastly, please note that if the article does get deleted, you can contact one of these admins to request that they userfy the article or have a copy emailed to you. Minor edits
Hello. In looking through your contributions it appears that you mark most of your edits as minor. Please note that edits should be marked as minor only if they contain superficial and non-substantive changes. The rule of thumb is that only an edit that consists solely of spelling corrections, formatting changes, or rearranging of text without modifying content should be flagged as a 'minor edit.' If your preferences are set to mark all edits as minor, it might be a good idea to change that. Have a look at WP:MINOR for details. -- Mufka (u) (t) (c) 13:19, 6 May 2009 (UTC)
- Thanks for the note, I'll keep that in mind. Flying Saucer (talk) 13:36, 6 May 2009 (UTC)

Welcome to Wikipedia. Everyone is welcome to contribute to the encyclopedia, but when you add content (particularly if you change facts and figures) , as you have to the article Halliste River, please cite a reliable source for the content you're adding or changing. This helps maintain our policy of verifiability. Take a look at Wikipedia:Citing sources for information about how to cite sources and the welcome page to learn more about contributing to this encyclopedia. Thank you. Autoreviewer
Hi, I've been looking over some of your recent articles at NewPage patrol, and I've had the Wikipedia:Autoreviewer flag set on for your account so that any articles you create will now bypass the new page patrol process. ϢereSpielChequers 17:10, 22 November 2009 (UTC)

Unreferenced BLPs
Hello Flying Saucer! Thank you for your contributions. I am a bot alerting you that 2 of the articles that you created are tagged as Unreferenced Biographies of Living Persons. The biographies of living persons policy requires that all personal or potentially controversial information be sourced. In addition, to ensure verifiability, all biographies should be based on reliable sources. If you were to bring these articles up to standards, it would greatly help us with the current 401 article backlog. Once the articles are adequately referenced, please remove the {{unreferencedBLP}} tag. Here is the list:
- Allan Vainola - Find sources: Google (books · news · scholar · free images · WP refs) · FENS · JSTOR · TWL
- Evelin Samuel - Find sources: Google (books · news · scholar · free images · WP refs) · FENS · JSTOR · TWL
Thanks!--DASHBot (talk) 20:26, 16 January 2010 (UTC)
A long overdue barnstar
- Thank you, I got to say I'm pleased. Flying Saucer (talk) 13:33, 5 February 2010 (UTC)
The article List of fish on stamps of Estonia has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:
- Not notable. Trivial. Little content. Not developed since creation.
While all contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, content or articles may be deleted for any of several reasons.
You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{dated prod}}
notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.
Please consider improving the article to address the issues raised. Removing {{dated prod}}
will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. The speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and articles for deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion. Maidonian (talk) 10:44, 6 March 2010 (UTC)
Hi, after your contribution regarding the flag of Võros, I noticed your WikiAward. So, if you're interested, I would ask you to help us to improve the article by adding sources and descriptions accompanying that flag or others (perhaps the flag of Votes). Thanks for reading. --The White Lion (talk) 20:51, 15 April 2010 (UTC)

You are now a Reviewer
Hello. Your account has been granted the "reviewer" userright, allowing you to review other users' edits on certain flagged pages. Pending changes, also known as flagged protection, is currently undergoing a two-month trial scheduled to end 15 August 2010.
Reviewers can review edits made by users who are not autoconfirmed to articles placed under pending changes. Pending changes is applied to only a small number of articles, similarly to how semi-protection is applied but in a more controlled way for the trial. The list of articles with pending changes awaiting review is located at Special:OldReviewedPages.
When reviewing, edits should be accepted if they are not obvious vandalism or BLP violations, and not clearly problematic in light of the reason given for protection (see Wikipedia:Reviewing process). More detailed documentation and guidelines can be found here.
If you do not want this userright, you may ask any administrator to remove it for you at any time. Courcelles (talk) 01:42, 17 June 2010 (UTC)
Hi! is somebody going to write substantial articles about all these places? If not very soon, then I can delete the dab page. Thanks. --Kudpung (talk) 10:10, 6 August 2010 (UTC)
- I think those articles will appear pretty soon, so I suggest not yet to delete anything. Is it too bad if I'm trying to create some understandable system in this total mess? I hope not. Flying Saucer (talk) 10:16, 6 August 2010 (UTC)

Hi! It seems you recently created an unreferenced biography of a living person: Kardo Ploomipuu. The community has decided that all new biographies of living persons must contain a reliable source that supports at least one statement made about the person in the article as per our verifiability policy. Please add references as soon as possible. Thanks! --LaraBot (talk) 00:10, 14 August 2010 (UTC)
