Inquiry

Per this comment, although it wasn’t I who declined the article, @Snowycats did, but can you use reliable sources to substantiate that the subject of your article took up active roles or significant supporting roles in the movies they featured in? Furthermore why don’t you use the easy-to-use CITE method when citing sources? I converted the bare urls properly earlier today & you have just included new sources which are bare urls yet again, why not just optimize CITE instead? Celestina007 (talk) 12:33, 27 October 2020 (UTC)

The entry already list 7 notable films he was in along with his role in most of them. And the numerous sources already include note of him as a feature of Black Hollywood and include a description in some detail his role in the Tarzan film. IMDb provides additional films he was in and anyone can track them done and source them as additions. Wikipedia editing is collaborative. His notability is wellestablished to meet guidelines and he would sail through any deletion discussion. FloridaArmy (talk) 14:41, 27 October 2020 (UTC)

Let me know if you're looking for extra sources

I have access to historical and current Black newspapers through my local library. Feel free to let me know if you need any extra sources on biographies of Black / African-American people (I've had some good luck with searching entertainers so far). Although I've been busier lately, I'd be happy to look up any sources in my free time :) Best, - Whisperjanes (talk) 16:25, 27 October 2020 (UTC)

Thanks so much for the offer User:Whisperjanes! I try no to ask people for help because what interests me may not interest them and I want everyone to work on what they enjoy and what interests them. I think Draft:While Thousands Cheer and Draft:Maceo Bruce Sheffield are both interesting for a variety of reasons and both slam dunk notable. I am curious about movie reviews for the former. Help is always welcome. I list some of the pages I'm working on at the top of this page as well in case anyone is interested. People seem more willing and interested to work on mainspace articles than drafts. I hope all os well with you. Take care and enjoy life. Happy Fall. FloridaArmy (talk) 17:52, 27 October 2020 (UTC)

Thanks for sending some my way. Understandable about trying not to ask people specifically for help (I myself am a frequent lurker of your drafts at the top of this page, haha). These seem to be pretty notable to me, so I'll work on adding some more reviews/sources (I've added some to "While Thousands Cheer" - there is great coverage in 1940s newspapers, so "slam dunk notable" is right). Feel free to add any others that need help here, and I'll try my best. Hope all is well with you too. The fall weather has been nice here, so I hope it's treating you well where you are :) - Whisperjanes (talk) 19:40, 27 October 2020 (UTC)

FloridaArmy, after G13 drafts are deleted, if they are later restored, there has to be a fresh edit to the page or it is marked as being eligible for G13 again. Admin Graeme Bartlett, who does most of the G13 draft restorations, typically makes a test edit to make it ineligible for G13 again but for some reason, he didn't with these two drafts. I have restored them both and made minor edits to reset G13 clock. Sorry for the mixup. Liz Read! Talk! 03:54, 30 October 2020 (UTC)

Clarence McKee moved to draftspace

An article you recently created, Clarence McKee, does not have enough sources and citations as written to remain published. It needs more citations from reliable, independent sources. (?) Information that can't be referenced should be removed (verifiability is of central importance on Wikipedia). I've moved your draft to draftspace (with a prefix of "Draft:" before the article title) where you can incubate the article with minimal disruption. When you feel the article meets Wikipedia's general notability guideline and thus is ready for mainspace, please click on the "Submit your draft for review!" button at the top of the page. power~enwiki (π, ν) 05:45, 3 November 2020 (UTC)

Your recent article submission has been rejected. If you have further questions, you can ask at the Articles for creation help desk or use Wikipedia's real-time chat help. The reason left by AngusWOOF was: This submission is contrary to the purpose of Wikipedia. The comment the reviewer left was: This is already covered by the section in WWNN. Please submit a split proposal there as radio articles typically encompass the formats for multiple stations over its history, see KGMZ-FM which has varied from music to sports talk.

I resubmitted. Clesrly notable. Discussed substantiallyin numerous reliable independent sources as an influential and historic music and information radio station. Just ridiculous and inappropriatet suggest it should be noted in an entry about an informercial station with different call letters thatreplaced it after it shut down. Best let more reasonable and unbiased reviewers have a look.FloridaArmy (talk) 18:53, 3 November 2020 (UTC)
