Nomination of Canadian College of Dental Health for deletionEdit

A discussion is taking place as to whether the article Canadian College of Dental Health is suitable for inclusion in Wikipedia according to Wikipedia's policies and guidelines or whether it should be deleted.

The article will be discussed at Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Canadian College of Dental Health until a consensus is reached, and anyone, including you, is welcome to contribute to the discussion. The nomination will explain the policies and guidelines which are of concern. The discussion focuses on high-quality evidence and our policies and guidelines.

Users may edit the article during the discussion, including to improve the article to address concerns raised in the discussion. However, do not remove the article-for-deletion notice from the top of the article. Rathfelder (talk) 18:36, 16 September 2018 (UTC)

Speedy deletion nomination of Template:WikiProject LibyaEdit

A tag has been placed on Template:WikiProject Libya requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section T3 of the criteria for speedy deletion because it is an unused duplicate of another template, or a hard-coded instance of another template. After seven days, if it is still unused and the speedy deletion tag has not been removed, the template will be deleted.

If the template is not actually the same as the other template noted, please consider putting a note on the template's page explaining how this one is different so as to avoid any future mistakes (<noinclude>{{substituted}}</noinclude>).

If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, and you wish to retrieve the deleted material for future reference or improvement, then please contact the deleting administrator, or if you have already done so, you can place a request here. Deletion pending for File:Driss R. Temsamani.jpgEdit

Hello, FayssalF. Some time ago, a file you uploaded — File:Driss R. Temsamani.jpg — was tagged with {{OTRS pending}}, indicating that you (or perhaps the copyright holder if you did not create this image) submitted a statement of permission to permissions-en@wikimedia.org. Though there is often a backlog processing messages received at this address, we should have received your message by now.

  • If you have not submitted (or forwarded) a statement of permission, please send it immediately to permissions-en@wikimedia.org and let us know at the OTRS noticeboard that you have done so.
  • If you have already sent this message, it is possible that there was a problem receiving it. Please re-send it to permissions-en@wikimedia.org and let us know at the OTRS noticeboard that you have done so.

If we don't hear from you within one week, the file will be deleted. If we can help you, please feel free to ask at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. --B-bot (talk) 14:33, 26 September 2018 (UTC)

Category:UNESCO Creative Cities NetworkEdit

I notice you have been adding Category:UNESCO Creative Cities Network to articles which make no mention of Creative Cities Network, as you did here to Tucson, Arizona. Please note that WP:CATDD states "Don't add pages to non-neutral or unverifiable categories". As well, unsourced material can be removed, per WP:V, which also states "In the case of a disputed category... consider asking for a citation on the talk page." Please consider removing this category from articles which make no mention of Creative Cities Network, or adding a source to support inclusion. Thank you. Magnolia677 (talk) 11:25, 3 October 2018 (UTC)

Hi Magnolia677, thanks for notifying me. I have thought about that prior to adding them. Some cities are mentioning it with references while some others do not. There are 180 cities and it is a bit hard to reference all of them. Do you have any idea how we can do it differently? The listing is here at the official UCCN website. Thanks in advance. - FayssalF - Wiki up® 11:59, 3 October 2018 (UTC)
I would suggest you add a section of text about the Creative Cities Network to each city article (or delete the category from the unsourced articles). Doing so would would allow other editors to decide if adding information about being within the Creative Cities network is worth noting on the article, or is too trivial. For example, you added the category to Detroit, which gets over 140,000 views per month. To be honest, I'm not sure being a UNESCO Creative City is all that noteworthy, even if it were sourced. Particularly on articles that follow the US Guidelines, stuff like that gets deleted all the time, particularly when it appears to have been spammed to many articles. Thanks. Magnolia677 (talk) 13:41, 3 October 2018 (UTC)
Thanks for your reply. UNESCO Creative City is a cultural program under the auspices of the UNESCO just like their World Heritage Sites. It is clearly encyclopedic and noteworthy. As you may have noticed in Tucson case, the article had already had a mention and 2 references to that although you may have not noticed it. I have added a third one from the official city website. For the rest, I am adding some content to make sure everything is sourced and that the category reflects the content. Thanks. - FayssalF - Wiki up® 15:42, 3 October 2018 (UTC)
