Welcome to the ninth Bugle for 2023!

Nominations for the 2023/2024 coordinator elections are open. Information on being a coordinator is available here. If you're interested in running, please sign up here by 23:59 UTC on 14 September! Voting will begin on 15 September. There is also a nomination for Coordinator Emeritus which, unlike the general coordinator election, is open for voting now.

The article news section includes four new featured articles, two new featured pictures, and two new A-class articles. The regular book reviews section includes a round-up of reviews published elsewhere. Finally, Hawkeye7 has contributed an op-ed on the recent film Oppenheimer, and its relationship to the WP article that Hawkeye himself took to FA.

Awards and honours


Contest department

 

The August edition of the contest department's article writing contest wrapped up with a win for Kges1901, who earned 112 points from 18 articles. They claim the Wikichevrons as their prize. Hog Farm takes the runner-up spot, getting the Writer's Barnstar with 56 points from 6 articles. Other entries were submitted by Zawed, Simongraham, Sturmvogel_66, Pickersgill-Cunliffe and Djmaschek.

The September edition of the contest is now open, editors are encouraged to submit their current article projects as entries into the competition.
