Spit (card game)

Thanks for the welcome, but I've actually been on Wikipedia for more than ten years. I've reinstated the edit to Spit (card game), and included a source that supports it, as requested. Gregorytopov (talk) 15:40, 14 October 2020 (UTC)

It appears another editor took issue with the source you provided. I see that you moved your comparison to Golf to the mechanics section, but without a source it's still original research, and I'm not sure how it's relevant at this point. Why Golf in particular, and why is it relevant that this mechanic is similar to Golf (i.e. how is this not trivia)? As you note, you've been here ten years, so I'm a little surprised by your apparent unfamiliarity with regards to the policies on original research. Cheers. 3O

I see that you removed my request on WP:3O because it didn't belong there. What should I do next? Thank you for your help. Firestar464 (talk) 03:44, 25 October 2020 (UTC)

You're welcome to pursue other forms of dispute resolution. 3O is explicitly only for disputes where there are only two involved editors. Hence the term "third opinion". If you'd like to link me to the situation I'd be happy to take a look to see whether I can offer more specific advice. Good luck! DonIago (talk) 04:00, 25 October 2020 (UTC)

Coma

Not sure why you reverted my Coma edits. Was it because they pushed the plot summary over 700 words? If so, that can easily be remedied by compensatory cuts. The added details are critical to the plot. And what was wrong with the addition re the musical score? Such things are commonly treated in the Production section.Rozsaphile1 (talk) 16:19, 23 November 2020 (UTC)

Yes to the first question; plot summaries for films typically shouldn't exceed 700 words. You're welcome to refactor the summary to include some or all of your changes while removing other unneeded details.
Regarding the score, you claimed that it's notable; you shouldn't be making that claim without providing a reliable source that substantiates it and discusses the absence of the score for the first half of the film.
Hope this helps! DonIago (talk) 16:35, 23 November 2020 (UTC)

Salem’s lot

Sure, no problem. I said in my edit that if my second attempt is judged as novel plotting, I wouldn’t try again. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Sodari (talkcontribs) 00:30, 9 December 2020 (UTC)

Inception Edit

Yes, I'm sorry, did I forget to leave a reason of explanation? My apologies for that, reason was that I just so happened to be reading and noticed that a recent name change had not been taken into account in the credits. A note was left, only to redirect to the newly renamed page. I made it more simple and changed from Ellen Page to Elliot Page, would have been done eventually, apologies for the lack of explanation.Bigtime_Boy5969 TT me 17:19, 10 December 2020 (UTC)

I'm still not following you. If I looked at it correctly, before your edit the article said "Elliot" with a footnote link mentioning that Elliot was previously known as Ellen. Your edit removed that footnote link. Based on other articles I've seen in which Elliot is brought up, there seems to be a consensus that including that footnote link is appropriate. If Elliot's name doesn't currently apparently with a link to the footnoted explanation, please restore it. Thanks! DonIago (talk) 17:36, 10 December 2020 (UTC)

List of films featuing giant monsters edit

You've removed three new entries I made in this because one of the three did not cite its source. The other two entries should remain. Please revert the changes to the two entries I made which contain citations. Thank you. Sterlingjones (talk) 05:02, 12 December 2020 (UTC)
