Plot

It's currently still a stub, but I had to replace the plot section that was there before, because it seemed nonsensical, let alone a poor description of the film itself. ArdClose (talk) 01:20, 10 March 2008 (UTC)

It still is lol. I just watched the film not five minutes ago and the synopsis here is a bit off.

1) The murderer doesn't "seemingly" fly to each murder scene by plane. He DOES fly to each murder scene by plane lol.

2) There's dirt in the plane because that's where he sleeps. I'm not big on vampire lore but aren't they said to bury themselves, at least partially, during the day?

3) Dees doesn't go insane at the end. Dwight poisons him with his blood, causing Dees to hallucinate and see Dwight's most recent victims in the airport rise from the dead. Dees then attacks said hallucinations with a fire axe in self defence, not realizing that in reality all he is doing is mutilating their dead bodies. It's at this point the two police officers come in and shoot him, obviously thinking that he was responsible for the murders.

This whole scene was a trap essentially. Dwight tricked Dees so that he could escape safely, and so that Dees would take the fall for him.

Also you could argue that Dees was in fact seeing hell, just as Dwight told him he would. As opposed to simply hallucinating, I mean. Both scenarios are equally possible given the circumstances.

4) I think saying that the young female reporter, Katherine Blair, is "actively abused" by Dees is a bit of a misleading statement. He's extremely unpleasant to her, but that's about as far as I'd go. I also think saying that she "survives him" is a bit strong. She was never in any danger of not surviving him. Unless whoever wrote the synopsis meant in it in terms of her sticking with her job, as opposed to literally. That would be fair enough.

Anyway those are my thoughts on the synopsis. I have no idea how to actually work Wikipedia lol, so it's probably best that I don't start messing around with the article.
