I just saw your userpage and was blown away by the intricate CSS and HTML styling! One little comment: The purple on black is not accessible to people with visual disabilities as it has a contrast ratio of 3.1:1, which fails both WCAG AA and WCAG AAA. One day in 2023, I was walking through the dark Watchlist forest observing my articles (as most egotistical content creators do), when I suddenly noticed a vandal about. He was mercilessly damaging articles left and right, including one of mine. Far to afraid to confront him myself (what's a talk page?), I waited a few minutes before going to fix my article. However, as I went to edit it, I saw that it had already been repaired by Chaotic Enby. They had swiftly reverted the vandal's edit and simply left behind a paper with their name on it. I smiled, knowing that Chaotic Enby had done good. Over 100 other editors have thanked Chaotic Enby for their 6,100+ contributions to the encyclopaedia in 2023, chiefly for reverting vandalism. However, on their off time, Chaotic Enby enjoyed editing and creating very casual and non-contentious articles, including 16 articles about taxa throughout the year, one significant entry about Konstantin Pikalov in August, another about the super fascinating Kalambo structure in September, and the significant Operation Taungthaman and Flight of Nagorno-Karabakh Armenians in December; the latter among the most significant events of the year for which the existence of an article is absolutely pivotal. Chaotic Enby's influence on Wikipedia has been overtly positive and I hope to see them throughout 2024 (but no pressure!). P.S. Danish America

I don't see why you gave me a warning when I gave an appropriate edit summary. Denmark has colonial territories in the Americas, and that territory still exists. It is Greenland, a part of Denmark, which has Danish as a working language along with Greenlandic. Just as other European colonial settlement remnants, we have articles for such colonization British America which isn't British people in the United States, and French America which isn't France-people in the United States. -- 65.92.247.66 (talk) 23:29, 25 December 2023 (UTC)

Your recent reverts at List of flags of Vietnam

I have been keeping my eye on that page for some time. There have been quite a few IP changes over the past week or two. The edits seem to be a bit complex and I was not able to make a determination on whether it was vandalism. I'm having trouble with earwig right now, but I'm not sure about your CSD for explicit prior permission. To be eligible for CSD, there must be no significant content that is not copyvio. There were major parts of the article taken from two sites (including one which I couldn't directly link as it was on the blacklist), and the way they were taken meant it would be hard to delete chunks like this and still have a meaningful article afterwards. But I agree that nonetheless attempting to remove just the content could've been preferable, although admins appear to have deleted the article in the end. Thanks! Hello! I tagged it for speedy deletion not for reasons of importance, but as the article looked purely promotional (mentioning its uniqueness and awards, and listing stuff like their ratings which should be on their website rather than on Wikipedia). If you write the article focusing on how they are described by others (taking external sources like news articles about them), it could be a much better article and there would be no worries about speedy deletion! Unfortunately, wiki sources (from Wikipedia, Wikia or other free-to-edit websites) aren't allowed, as they risk issues like citogenesis (one person editing something in, and it ending up in citations used to support that same claim). Ideally, having official population reports would be the best, but anything published (research, books, journals, even mentions in news articles) would work! Do you mean adding a red link, or creating an article from a red link? For the former, it's just typing stuff inbetween brackets: [[this text]] becomes this text. Very late thank you! I need urgent help! There is a vandal which goes by the name of User:Turkiishh or something,he undid my contributions to Nogais page,aswell as Tatars and list of Tatars page. I searched his contribs,he vandalises and writes misinfo. A Turkish biased nationalist. Hi! I'm not especially well-equipped for this: despite what some people might think, rollback doesn't give special powers to undo actions or punish editors, it just allows us to undo edits faster when going through recent edits. You're free to undo his edits on each page, especially since he didn't provide an edit summary. Also, if he's reverting you each time on different pages, it could be seen as wikihounding (following another editor around), which is usually frowned upon.

Your best bet would be to leave him a message on his talk page to tell him to stop (both the reverts without explanation and following you around), and, if he continues doing it with no explanation, making a post to WP:ANI to signal the behavior to admins (who are the ones equipped to block him). If you decide to signal him to ANI, you also have to inform him of that on his talk page. ChaotıċEnby(t · c) 18:05, 9 January 2024 (UTC)
