Intrest in History edit
My favorite era of history is probably between 1780 and 1923 (late 1700s 'renaissance' to the end of the russian revolution), which you could probably have guessed based on the articles above. I really enjoy reading about the European colonial empires, the evolution of technology and warfare, nationalism, and the rapid industrialization in places such as Japan which took place during this period. Another interesting thing about that period is that you had the technology to go anywhere but there were still large swaths of land un-discovered. Imagine going on long expeditions to places that nobody has ever been before, that's why i also enjoy reading about the countless expeditions that took place then too.
