The Black Ryder edit

A proposed deletion template has been added to the article The Black Ryder, suggesting that it be deleted according to the proposed deletion process. All contributions are appreciated, but this article may not satisfy Wikipedia's criteria for inclusion, and the deletion notice should explain why (see also "What Wikipedia is not" and Wikipedia's deletion policy). You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{dated prod}} notice, but please explain why you disagree with the proposed deletion in your edit summary or on its talk page. Also, please consider improving the article to address the issues raised. Even though removing the deletion notice will prevent deletion through the proposed deletion process, the article may still be deleted if it matches any of the speedy deletion criteria or it can be sent to Articles for Deletion, where it may be deleted if consensus to delete is reached. If you agree with the deletion of the article, and you are the only person who has made substantial edits to the page, please add {{db-author}} to the top of The Black Ryder. Image copyright problem with Image:The Black Ryder aimee, scott & kate.jpg edit

Image Copyright problem

Thank you for uploading Image:The Black Ryder aimee, scott & kate.jpg. However, it currently is missing information on its copyright status. Wikipedia takes copyright very seriously. It may be deleted soon, unless we can determine the license and the source of the image. If you know this information, then you can add a copyright tag to the image description page.

If you have any questions, please feel free to ask them at the media copyright questions page. Thanks again for your cooperation. NOTE: once you correct this, please remove the tag from the image's page. STBotI (talk) 07:42, 21 March 2008 (UTC)Reply

Speedy deletion of The Black Ryder edit

A tag has been placed on The Black Ryder requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A7 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article appears to be about a band, but it does not indicate how or why the subject is notable: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, articles that do not indicate the subject's importance or significance may be deleted at any time. Please see the guidelines for what is generally accepted as notable, as well as our subject-specific notability guideline for musical topics.

If you think that this notice was placed here in error, you may contest the deletion by adding {{hangon}} to the top of the page (just below the existing speedy deletion or "db" tag), coupled with adding a note on the talk page explaining your position, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the article meets the criterion it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the article that would would render it more in conformance with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. Lastly, please note that if the article does get deleted, you can contact one of these admins to request that a copy be emailed to you. 9Nak (talk) 13:22, 21 March 2008 (UTC)Reply

Disambiguation link notification for December 8 edit

Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. Wikipedia appreciates your help. We noticed though that when you edited Angus Stone, you added links pointing to the disambiguation pages Southbound and Private Practice (check to confirm | fix with Dab solver). Such links are almost always unintended, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of "Did you mean..." article titles. Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.

Possible conflict of interest? edit

According to Andrew Murfett, "After seeing an early show, Cathy Oates, an aunt of the Stones and, handily, a former head of marketing at EMI, offered to manage them".source. User:Cathyoates has extensively edited Angus Stone, Angus & Julia Stone and other Stones' related pages. Care should be taken when editing where there may be a conflict of interest both as a near relative and a professional/financially involved representative. Could you check over your edits and remove material which does not meet Wikipedia:Conflict of interest policy. To help understand this policy you may want to read the guidelines. If you need more help ask neutral, uninvolved and disinterested editors to review your work prior to placing it in wikispaces.shaidar cuebiyar (talk) 01:19, 12 December 2012 (UTC)Reply

Re:Angus & Julia Stone. The section Media appearances requires more reliable sources for the claims that their work was used on particular TV/film spots. I have been trying to find such sources but I am finding it difficult to do so. If you have any independent information to support these could you please supply them, otherwise I will delete any that can not be impartially corroborated.shaidar cuebiyar (talk) 20:56, 21 December 2012 (UTC)Reply

Proposed deletion of MT WARNING edit

Hello, Cathyoates. I wanted to let you know that I’m proposing an article that you started, MT WARNING, for deletion because I don't think it meets our criteria for inclusion. If you don't want the article deleted:

  1. edit the page
  2. remove the text that looks like this: {{proposed deletion/dated...}}
  3. save the page

Also, be sure to explain why you think the article should be kept in your edit summary or on the article's talk page. If you don't do so, it may be deleted later anyway.

You can leave a note on my talk page if you have questions. Ad Orientem (talk) 02:49, 21 January 2014 (UTC)Reply

The page in question has been moved to Mt Warning (band) per Wikipedia article-naming conventions. Another editor removed the proposed deletion at 01:39, 23 January 2014 (UTC) (diff), so there is no imminent danger that this article will be deleted. However, it could be nominated for deletion at any time through Wikipedia's "articles for deletion" process. davidwr/(talk)/(contribs) 19:09, 24 January 2014 (UTC)Reply

Your user page and your user talk page edit

When you moved User:Cathyoates to the main encyclopedia, it left a redirect behind. I edited your user page so it no longer has a redirect. You can replace what I put there with whatever you want, as long as it's within the guidelines of Wikipedia:User page.

Your user talk page and its "page history" are back to the way they should be as well. davidwr/(talk)/(contribs) 21:50, 24 January 2014 (UTC)Reply

Possible CoI edits edit

Hello, Cathyoates. We welcome your contributions, but if you have an external relationship with the people, places or things you have written about in the page Megan Washington, you may have a conflict of interest (COI). Editors with a conflict of interest may be unduly influenced by their connection to the topic. See the conflict of interest guideline and FAQ for organizations for more information. We ask that you:

Speedy deletion nomination of Jeffe music edit

Hello Cathyoates,

I wanted to let you know that I just tagged Jeffe music for deletion, because it seems to be promotional, rather than an encyclopedia article.

If you feel that the article shouldn't be deleted and want more time to work on it, you can contest this deletion, but please don't remove the speedy deletion tag from the top.

You can leave a note on my talk page if you have questions. Thanks!

@Deb: the user tried to declare their status as a connected contributor at Talk:Megan Washington by placing an unfilled template on that talk page.
