Proposed deletion of Cosmic Break edit

The article Cosmic Break has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:

No indication of WP:notability. No independent WP:reliable sources.

While all contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, content or articles may be deleted for any of several reasons.

You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated}} notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.

Please consider improving the article to address the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated}} will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. In particular, the speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and articles for deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion. noq (talk) 11:39, 6 November 2011 (UTC)Reply

The article already exists, but is nominated for deletion and the improvements to the submission page would not be enough. Reliable sources are needed that are not from its web site. Peter E. James (talk) 07:23, 8 November 2011 (UTC)Reply

First of all, I'll like to thank you for the improvements required for the article. And secondly, I'll search for information from third-party sources. A very pleasant message I would say.--Bumblezellio (talk) 08:52, 8 November 2011 (UTC)Reply

Please do not remove Articles for deletion notices from articles or remove other people's comments in Articles for deletion pages, as you did with Cosmic Break. Doing so won't stop the discussion from taking place. You are, however, welcome to comment about the proposed deletion on the appropriate page. Thank you. noq (talk) 09:07, 10 November 2011 (UTC)Reply

The article has been moved coincidentally from the sandbox to replace the Cosmic Break article that was nominated for deletion so I'm unsure whether it is supposed to be deleted or not.--Bumblezellio (talk) 09:37, 10 November 2011 (UTC)Reply

Star Trek 2 edit

To let you know, he can't delete the article if everyone is in favour of keep. It would breach consensus. RAP (talk) 20:08 27 November 2011 (UTC)

Well since the article's consensus is clearly Keep, I don't think it matters anymore to discuss about it with Rob Sinden, is there?--Bumblezellio (talk) 23:30, 27 November 2011 (UTC)Reply

My apologies edit

Sorry I didn't make it over to the Star Trek delete discussion before it was closed. I was sitting in a hospital waiting room for the majority of the day while a relative was having heart surgery. Having only my iPad to look at and do a few Wikipedia things out of a need to simply pass the time, I wasn't comfortable considering the case away from the comfort of my home PC. If you think I can help in future discussions you would like other eyes on, feel free to come to my talk page and ask. Wikiproject edit

I think a Wikiproject for H/Hentai works is basically needed at this point, which I would be reluctant, but happy to do provided I'd have some support in drafting up the material and the scope. It would have to be the English usage of hentai and cover ecchi and ero works of the anime/manga style including eroge. Basically, I've been working on the would be key article Hentai which already looks far more professional and gives a good history, etymology and so on. The end sections need the most work though. ChrisGualtieri (talk) 02:55, 30 April 2013 (UTC)Reply

Well I am happy to hear that some miracle has finally happened fix out the H/Hentai works. Personally speaking, I know quite a lot of hentai that weren't included in Wikipedia because of the trouble with WP:N and WP:PR0N. Furthermore, I don't know how to create a Wikiproject. Well since I"m eager and up for the H/Hentai Wikiproject, care to be the leader of the Hentai bunnies? --(B)~(ー.ー)~(Z) (talk) 03:12, 30 April 2013 (UTC)Reply
I figure I have almost no choice, so let me ask about starting it. I think a few members will be enough to warrant the creation of one. Until then... should we propose a scope? I'd consider Ecchi/Hentai works as defined by English usage to be of proper scope, including notable artists, directors and organizations. ChrisGualtieri (talk) 20:59, 2 May 2013 (UTC)Reply
Started a preview at User:ChrisGualtieri/Hentai, I think we should use the kanji for "Hentai" on a white background rather then go with anything explicit or suggestive. I already got it from commons and cropped it to work. Should I advertise it to drum up some more support? ChrisGualtieri (talk) 03:27, 3 May 2013 (UTC)Reply
It's not bad, a good start for the Wikiproject. I think it's a good idea to advertise this right away. The Kanji for "Hentai" is "変態". Though, you can also try "へんたい" (Hiragana), or "ヘンタイ" (Katakana). --(B)~(ー.ー)~(Z) (talk) 06:05, 3 May 2013 (UTC)Reply
The project is live! WP:WikiProject Hentai, but I am currently tagging the 1000+ articles related to our project. I will continue to work on this. But feel free to check it out. When it gets all fleshed out I will announce it at the Pump and maybe try to get a signpost article. ChrisGualtieri (talk) 17:24, 3 May 2013 (UTC)Reply
Sorry for the drama that it has kicked up. I used AWB to tag the articles by category and some of the yuri works slipped in, we have 470 articles right now though and 2000 red links and plenty of work to do. I'll try to get the article alert and grading system up later on, which will allow easy checking of what needs work and what doesn't. I expect it will be a week or two before the basic structure is filled out. I do not know why mere creation has bothered them so much, it may be in the same scope, but many Wikiprojects overlap in some form. The nature of the content HENTAI covers should be reason enough for a wikiproject. We don't even have minor coverage on major publishers and developers. JAST USA? Just a list of works. English distribution and scanlation sites play havoc with reliable sources, but there is a reason why Sankaku noted Japanese Wiki. Though here's the funny thing Chinese Hentai article is featured. Though the google translate is amazing. [1] Clearly... featured article is what I want for Enwiki. Though our counterparts seem to be doing a better job then us. ChrisGualtieri (talk) 14:11, 4 May 2013 (UTC)Reply
They are putting up a lot of pressure on us just to legally stop a new WikiProject. Well hope it calms down sooner or later. Anyway, nice job on the new WikiProject, I will get to finding some hentai-related articles and continue expanding them in a while. --(B)~(ー.ー)~(Z) (talk) 16:51, 4 May 2013 (UTC)Reply

Until I dig up some good sites and such, I will try and tinker with the project some more. I'm not going to fight about the yuri/yaoi articles now. I do not want to provoke any more fighting. Though if you have some time, even sites like Japonator and Sankaku Complex gladly point to sources which are typically more reliable. Though SC is a drama-fest, it has among the best English coverage of hentai topics from Japan. This matter with the Anime Wikiproject is troubling, but until disruption occurs trying to defuse the situation is the best thing. I see you added yourself to the list for editor projects. I'll dig up a few sources and reply on the talk page there. ChrisGualtieri (talk) 04:42, 5 May 2013 (UTC)Reply

Sorry to pop in again, but Wikipedia_talk:WikiProject_Hentai#Tagging is now being discussed. I'm going to ignore the drama at WP:ANIME since it is baiting. WP:PROJGUIDE#OWN is relevant, but we need to discuss things at the project page and not on our talks in order to be taken seriously. I'll wait a bit longer before announcing the project at the central discussion points. ChrisGualtieri (talk) 14:31, 5 May 2013 (UTC)Reply
Since the drama is past, I'm going to go back to improving the Wikiproject... I do like that idea for using Wikipe-tan in the bathing suit... if you agree, post it there and I'll make the switch. I'll tinker with a few things and get the stuff running before I announce the project at Pump to draw more members, but we got a few watchers already. Valvrave the Liberator edit

Hello Bumblezellio. I've noticed you have been trying to improve our article on Valvrave the Liberator. This is great for the encyclopedia, as articles are improved by editors like you! However, you included a terminology section. The current, albeit rough consensus at WikiProject Anime and manga is that terminology sections are unencylopedic and are strongly discouraged, for reasons discussedd at here, here and here. If possible, the information that you were trying to incorporate can be included in the Plot or Setting section. However, if inclusion of the terminology section is necessary for the article given the series' complicated story, then feel free to re-include it, provided that sources will be used and that the terms are discussed in a real-word perspective.
