Proposed deletion of Tuomo Town

edit

The article Tuomo Town has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:

Informal article about local town, likely written by someone living there. No refs and no claim of notab.

G11 and A11 are not due; improvment is possible.

While all constructive contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, pages may be deleted for any of several reasons.

You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated}} notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.

Please consider improving the page to address the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated}} will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. In particular, the speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and articles for deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion. Speedy deletion nomination of Biriala Goodday Thomas

edit

If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.

You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.

A tag has been placed on Biriala Goodday Thomas requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A7 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article appears to be about a band or musician, but it does not credibly indicate how or why the subject is important or significant: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, such articles may be deleted at any time. Please read more about what is generally accepted as notable.

If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be removed without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, and you wish to retrieve the deleted material for future reference or improvement, then please contact the deleting administrator. Welcome to Wikipedia. Although everyone is welcome to contribute constructively to the encyclopedia, your addition of one or more external links to the page Tuomo Town has been reverted.
Your edit here to Tuomo Town was reverted by an automated bot that attempts to remove links in references which are discouraged per our reliable sources guideline. The reference(s) you added or changed (http://www.fallingrain.com/world/NI/00/Tuomo.html, http://www.fallingrain.com/world/NI/00/Tuomo.html) is/are on my list of links to remove and probably shouldn't be included in Wikipedia. If you were adding a link or reference to fallingrain.com, then you should be aware that this site is considered on wikipedia to be an unreliable source. More information can be found MediaWiki_talk:Spam-blacklist#Fallingrain.com here (permanent). Please consider to use/find another source for the information.
If you were trying to insert an external link that does comply with our policies and guidelines, then please accept my creator's apologies and feel free to undo the bot's revert. However, if the link does not comply with our policies and guidelines, but your edit included other, constructive, changes to the article, feel free to make those changes again without re-adding the link. Please read Wikipedia's external links guideline for more information, and consult my list of frequently-reverted sites. For more information about me, see my FAQ page.   Hello, BirialaGday. We welcome your contributions, but if you have an external relationship with the people, places, or things you have written about on Wikipedia, you may have a conflict of interest (COI). Editors with a COI may be unduly influenced by their connection to the topic, and it is important when editing Wikipedia articles that such connections be completely transparent. See the conflict of interest guideline and FAQ for organizations for more information. In particular, we ask that you please:

  • avoid editing or creating articles related to you and your family, friends, school, company, club, or organization, as well as any competing companies' projects or products;
  • instead, you are encouraged to propose changes on the Talk pages of affected article(s) (see the {{request edit}} template);
  • when discussing affected articles, disclose your COI (see WP:DISCLOSE);
  • avoid linking to the Wikipedia article or to the website of your organization in other articles (see WP:SPAM);
  • exercise great caution so that you do not violate Wikipedia's content policies.

In addition, you must disclose your employer, client, and affiliation with respect to any contribution for which you receive, or expect to receive, compensation (see WP:PAID).

Please take a few moments to read and review Wikipedia's policies regarding conflicts of interest, especially those pertaining to neutral point of view, sourcing and autobiographies. Thank you.Deb (talk) 13:52, 19 April 2017 (UTC)Reply

  Welcome to Wikipedia. Constructive contributions are appreciated, but, in this edit to Tuomo Town, you removed Articles for deletion notices from articles or removed other people's comments in Articles for deletion debates. This makes it difficult to establish consensus. If you oppose the deletion of an article, please comment at the respective page instead. Thank you. ~Oshwah~(talk) (contribs) 13:59, 19 April 2017 (UTC)Reply

  Hello and welcome to Wikipedia. When you add content to talk pages and Wikipedia pages that have open discussion (but never when editing articles), please be sure to sign your posts. There are two ways to do this. Either:

  1. Add four tildes ( ~~~~ ) at the end of your comment; or
  2. With the cursor positioned at the end of your comment, click on the signature button (  or  ) located above the edit window.

This will automatically insert a signature with your username or IP address and the time you posted the comment. This information is necessary to allow other editors to easily see who wrote what and when.

Speedy deletion nomination of Naijapadis

edit

Hello BirialaGday,

I wanted to let you know that I just tagged Naijapadis for deletion, because it seems to be promotional, rather than an encyclopedia article.

If you feel that the article shouldn't be deleted and want more time to work on it, you can contest this deletion, but please don't remove the speedy deletion tag from the top.

You can leave a note on my talk page if you have questions. Thanks!

Proposed deletion of Naijapadis

edit

The article Naijapadis has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:

No evidence of notability, nom for award is from an open forum where everyone can nom (some 30 sites nominated, not very exclusive) and everyone can vote (site got 13 votes...). Very few sources about this website exist online.

In particular, the speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and articles for deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion. am sorry to have acted that way, I was only trying to be polite from the beginning since I start the page Naijapadis I did everything I knew, drop reference and linking from other articles concerning this page, the only message I always got is proposed for deletion, I was busy offline recently and when I Login today, they Succeeded in deleting it.

I became angry because I know I have started many page here which was approved two years ago, I tried to revive it but it was still deleted, I tried to recreate it but it was still deleted and a warning was given to me to block me and the link even from search engine, so I became angry and that was why I drop that message.

I know if I had meet an Administrator like you I won't be angry even if it was deleted.

a new copy of the page is at Naijapadis.com I don't care if it will be deleted again, but I would be happier if it was not deleted.

You say "I have started many page here". You have created exactly 8 articles, and all but Tuomo Town have been deleted, which suggests that you need help understanding what makes an article acceptable for publication. Using the WP:AFC process to submit drafts for review, instead of trying to publish directly in main article space, would have helped. ~Anachronist (talk) 04:01, 26 January 2019 (UTC)Reply
