New York State Route 5SEdit

Im trying to get the new york state route 5s article to good article status. I see that you editited that the new section between frankfort and mohawk was completed by 1992. I was wondering if you knew the source? Thanks, 420Traveler (talk) 07:38, 9 April 2020 (UTC)

@420Traveler: Hi, I haven't made any contributions to that article or any other within this field. Are you sure you got the right person? Good luck with the GA anyway! Shellwood (talk) 11:22, 9 April 2020 (UTC)
@Shellwood: Hi, no problem. I clicked on the url of the edit and it brought me to your page for some reason. Thanks for getting back to me. 420Traveler (talk) 15:37, 9 April 2020 (UTC)

TemplateEdit

In the template " Initial visibility: currently defaults to autocollapse

To set this template's initial visibility, the |state= parameter may be used:

  • |state=collapsed: {{Shellwood|state=collapsed}} to show the template collapsed, i.e., hidden apart from its title bar
  • |state=expanded: {{Shellwood|state=expanded}} to show the template expanded, i.e., fully visible
  • |state=autocollapse: {{Shellwood|state=autocollapse}}
    • shows the template collapsed to the title bar if there is a {{navbar}}, a {{sidebar}}, or some other table on the page with the collapsible attribute
    • shows the template in its expanded state if there are no other collapsible items on the page

If the |state= parameter in the template on this page is not set, the template's initial visibility is taken from the |default= parameter in the Collapsible option template. For the template on this page, that currently evaluates to autocollapse." was found added. After the Template some words were found in the screen. So I deleted " Initial visibility: currently defaults to autocollapse

  • |state=autocollapse: {{Shellwood|state=autocollapse}}

    • shows the template in its expanded state if there are no other collapsible items on the page

If the |state= parameter in the template on this page is not set, the template's initial visibility is taken from the |default= parameter in the Collapsible option template. For the template on this page, that currently evaluates to autocollapse.". Please let me know if the template is correct form. Your opinion will be of helpful. Regards. --B Jambulingam (talk) 01:55, 10 April 2020 (UTC)

@B Jambulingam: The additional message on the template page only appears there, it wont appear under the template when added to articles and is there to instruct users of how to collapse the template. This can be desirable if an article has several templates at the bottom. I suggest you put it back. Shellwood (talk) 11:20, 10 April 2020 (UTC)
@Shellwood:, As suggested by you, I put it back. As I did not not understand earlier I could not able to make suitable correction. Please ensure if it is okay. Regards. --B Jambulingam (talk) 14:11, 10 April 2020 (UTC)

Republic of China holds both mainland China and Taiwan.Edit

PRC had only control on mainland China not Taiwan. Wikiofficehub (talk) 12:03, 10 April 2020 (UTC)

@Wikiofficehub: One-China policy is the common term for this policy, also the page is not protected. Shellwood (talk) 12:06, 10 April 2020 (UTC)

@POWWOWWOWWOW: You wanna learn to check the source or something. Shellwood (talk) 19:47, 12 April 2020 (UTC)
OK I do see you are right. It's just that normally when things are copied into another source, they are accompanied by the caveat (sic), and as this one wasn't, it looked like a misspelling. Thanks for being meticulous there. POWWOWWOWWOW (talk) 19:53, 12 April 2020 (UTC)

Recent Edit to VerstappenEdit

I recently got this

Hello, I'm Shellwood. I wanted to let you know that I reverted one of your recent contributions —specifically this edit to Max Verstappen— because it did not appear constructive.

I am sorry but I have no idea what this is, I have never visited the Verstappen page (until now to see what I was supposed to have done) and have certainly never edited it

This is not a shared computer, or ip address, so I have no idea how this happened

Hello sir, For two days age until now I have been tried to add some info to this article. But unfortunately my contribution has been faild and now you put deletion tag on the top of this article. re:june 2020Edit

Hi there! Apologies for any mistakes I've made in the articles I've edited. I've been having trouble finding certain statistics that always seem to be in different places, such as name meanings and average size, so I figured it would be best to move them to the same place. I've begun reading the manual of style, but if there is any section in particular you think I should study up on, I'd appreciate you letting me know. :) --Vaporwaveboyfriend (talk) 21:45, 17 June 2020 (UTC)

New Page Reviewer newsletter June 2020Edit

Hello Shellwood,

Your help can make a difference

NPP Sorting can be a great way to find pages needing new page patrolling that match your strengths and interests. Using ORES, it divides articles into topics such as Literature or Chemistry and on Geography. Take a look and see if you can find time to patrol a couple pages a day. With over 10,000 pages in the queue, the highest it's been since ACPERM, your help could really make a difference.

In late February, Google added 5 new languages to Google Translate: Kinyarwanda, Odia (Oriya), Tatar, Turkmen and Uyghur. This expands our ability to find and evaluate sources in those languages.

Discussions and Resources
  • A discussion on handling new article creation by paid editors is ongoing at the Village Pump.
  • Also at the Village Pump is a discussion about limiting participation at Articles for Deletion discussion.
  • A proposed new speedy deletion criteria for certain kinds of redirects ended with no consensus.
  • Also ending with no change was a proposal to change how we handle certain kinds of vector images.

New Delsort categoryEdit

Since you routinely perform deletion sorting for AfD discussions, check out the new Delsort category/page at Wikipedia:WikiProject Deletion sorting/Products.
