Disambiguation link notification for April 3 edit

Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. Wikipedia appreciates your help. We noticed though that when you edited 2015 Girls' Youth European Volleyball Championship squads, you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page Opposite. 2014–15 Liga Nacional Superior de Voleibol Femenino edit

Hello Ases52, there is problem with the links to 2014-15 Liga Nacional Superior de Voleibol Femenino. There are some links to Association football clubs. The articles clearly states that they are football clubs. Since there are multi sport clubs, like Panathinaikos A.O., OSD Beograd, CSKA Sofia (sports club) and CS Dinamo București, all of them keep separate articles for every sport. Is not aproppiate including a line at the end of the football article claiming that a given team from a different sport ranked XX in a volleyball league. Thanks for your help in preserving Wikipedia informative. --Osplace 13:31, 21 April 2015 (UTC)Reply

To present edit

(2014–Present)? You did this in here and some other places. What does it suppose to mean? Would you like to span the years around the present? Why "present" and not 2015, if the date explained in text in the body of the article is about 2015? You really need to check all this: WP:REALTIME and WP:DATED. Notability edit

You have recently created the article Marianne Fersola, thank you. Nonetheless, you should read the general guidelines in WP:N, because according to the texte included in that article it should be deleted. Please read the whole WP:ATHLETE, because volleyball article do not yet have a chapter. WP:LEAD says "The lead section (also known as the lead, introduction or intro) of a Wikipedia article is the section before the table of contents and the first heading. The lead serves as an introduction to the article and a summary of its most important aspects. It is not a news-style lede. The lead should be able to stand alone as a concise overview. It should define the topic, establish context, explain why the topic is notable, and summarize the most important points, including any prominent controversies." As said, winning a bronze medal in a U18 competition gives no notability. According to the Wikipedia talk:WikiProject Volleyball/Archive 1#Notability guide for volleyball, any Under age competition gives notability. Articles failing to prove notability must be deleted under the WP:A7 criteria. Please be welcome to edit as much as always. Being aware of better understanding Wikipedia Policies makes a better editor. Osplace 18:25, 26 July 2015 (UTC)Reply

Osplace 20:00, 3 August 2015 (UTC)Reply
Please do not add references to the club/awards sections. Talk about it with references in the career section, then you do not need to reference those. For Wikipedia MOS:SURNAME, you should not use Brayelin but in the opening paragraph, but you have to use Martinez. She can not be spikers, she is just a single person. Could you please explain about the four world (world championships) she played in 2013, thats interesting and a casual reader would like to read about it. Osplace 19:55, 19 August 2015 (UTC)Reply

References edit

The article about Yonkaira Peña is missing references. Please read WP:V. References are your friends as a Wikipedia editor. Referencing is a core in WP. Without references articles about people, specially living people, must be deleted so please read WP:ALIVE. In that article you included club list but do not provide text saying any of them, and you have to provide referenced text about everyting you include in table and list. You also mention an award, but neither referenced text is provided. Osplace 18:46, 26 July 2015 (UTC)Reply

Content edit

Hello, in your recent edits you have been warned by uploading copyrighted material. I want to call you attention about you edits on tables: I mean the section were you have been adding medals, trophies, clubs participation and individual and club awards. You do not have to add any reference in those sections. You have not done that yet, but any of this content should exist without the proper text in the body of the article. I mean, inside the career section were appropriate, you add the proper text and its proper reference, then you are able to introduce any text with any of the previously cited sections. Trust me, the shirt number is not relevant! Please, withdraw that information in further edits. Thank you for your contribution. I also would like to say that do not replying any talk request is considered impolite. Osplace 12:26, 28 July 2015 (UTC)Reply

Proposed deletion of Wu Han (volleyball) edit

The article Wu Han (volleyball) has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:

WP:ATHLETE High school and pre-high school athletes are notable only if they have received, as individuals, substantial and prolonged coverage that is (1) independent of the subject and (2) clearly goes beyond WP:ROUTINE coverage.

While all constructive contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, content or articles may be deleted for any of several reasons.

You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated}} notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.

Please consider improving the article to address the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated}} will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. In particular, the speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and articles for deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion. I've moved your draft to draftspace (with a prefix of "Draft:" before the article title) where you can incubate the article with minimal disruption. When you feel the article meets Wikipedia's general notability guideline and thus is ready for mainspace, please click on the "Submit your draft for review!" button at the top of the page. Replaceable fair use File:Svetlana Kholomina.jpeg edit

Thanks for uploading File:Svetlana Kholomina.jpeg. I noticed that this file is being used under a claim of fair use. However, I think that the way it is being used fails the first non-free content criterion. This criterion states that files used under claims of fair use may have no free equivalent; in other words, if the file could be adequately covered by a freely-licensed file or by text alone, then it may not be used on Wikipedia. If you believe this file is not replaceable, please:

  1. Go to the file description page and add the text {{Di-replaceable fair use disputed|<your reason>}} below the original replaceable fair use template, replacing <your reason> with a short explanation of why the file is not replaceable.
  2. On the file discussion page, write a full explanation of why you believe the file is not replaceable.

Alternatively, you can also choose to replace this non-free media item by finding freely licensed media of the same subject, requesting that the copyright holder release this (or similar) media under a free license, or by creating new media yourself (for example, by taking your own photograph of the subject).

If you have uploaded other non-free media, consider checking that you have specified how these media fully satisfy our non-free content criteria. You can find a list of description pages you have edited by clicking on this link. Note that even if you follow steps 1 and 2 above, non-free media which could be replaced by freely licensed alternatives will be deleted 2 days after this notification, per the non-free content policy. If you have any questions, please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. Dylsss(talk contribs) 14:30, 4 May 2021 (UTC)Reply

Image without license edit

Unspecified source/license for File:Svetlana Kholomina1.jpeg edit

Thanks for uploading File:Svetlana Kholomina1.jpeg. The image has been identified as not specifying the copyright status of the image, which is required by Wikipedia's policy on images. Even if you created the image yourself, you still need to release it so Wikipedia can use it. If you don't indicate the copyright status of the image on the image's description page, using an appropriate copyright tag, it may be deleted some time after the next seven days. If you made this image yourself, you can use copyright tags like {{PD-self}} (to release all rights), {{self|cc-by-sa-4.0}} (to require that you be credited), or any tag here - just go to the image, click edit, and add one of those. If you have uploaded other images, please verify that you have provided copyright information for them as well.

For more information on using images, see the following pages:

This is an automated notice by MifterBot. For assistance on the image use policy, see Wikipedia:Media copyright questions. NOTE: Once you correct this, please remove the tag from the image's page. --MifterBot (TalkContribsOwner) 02:45, 7 May 2021 (UTC)Reply

Speedy deletion nomination of File:Svetlana Kholomina1.jpeg edit

A tag has been placed on File:Svetlana Kholomina1.jpeg requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section F9 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the file appears to be a blatant copyright infringement of https://www.volleyball.world/en/beachvolleyball/worldtour/2019/wwar2019/women/teams/945860-makroguzova-kholomina. For legal reasons, we cannot accept copyrighted text or images taken from other web sites or printed material, and as a consequence, your addition will most likely be deleted. Wikipedia takes copyright violations very seriously and persistent violators will be blocked from editing.

If the image belongs to you, and you want to allow Wikipedia to use it — which means allowing other people to use it for any reason — then you must verify that externally by one of the processes explained at Wikipedia:Donating copyrighted materials. The same holds if you are not the owner but have their permission. If you are not the owner and do not have permission, see Wikipedia:Requesting copyright permission for how you may obtain it. You might want to look at Wikipedia's copyright policy for more details, or ask a question here.

If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. Whpq (talk) 12:01, 7 May 2021 (UTC)Reply
