Wikilinking

I noticed an article you worked on. Just a short note to point out that we don’t normally link:

• dates
• years
• commonly known geographical terms (including well-known country-names), and
• common terms you’d look up in a dictionary (unless significantly technical).

(This even applies for infoboxes.)

Gay Human Rights

Hi, I'm Dennis Brown, a fellow editor here. I'm the person that tagged your article for speedy deletion. An admin will review it shortly and make a determination. When you create an article, you aren't allowed to remove a speedy deletion tag that someone else has placed on it. Its a policy around here. Anyway, it isn't personal, it is just that the organization is too new and no mainstream publications have bothered to write about it. WP:CORP is our policy on companies, which is wordy, but the nut of it is that at least two sources (ie: major or significant publications) have to have written about the company in a significant way. Not just mentioning it, but the company was the core of the article. Again, it isn't personal, we judge all articles by the same rules. Dennis 2¢ 22:50, 22 October 2014 (UTC)

Please do not blank pages, as you did to Gay Civil Rights, whatever the reason. Somebody will come to Wikipedia, find a blank page and wonder what on earth is going on. If an article is a duplicate of another, then redirect it. If you feel that an article doesn't belong on Wikipedia, then look at the deletion policy.
