Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. Wikipedia appreciates your help. We noticed though that when you edited 2012 Jelajah Malaysia, you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page Kampar (check to confirm | fix with Dab solver). Talkpage and editing edit

Alexey88, wikipedia editing works through consensus. If someone is trying to introduce a bold new change, and there is a reversion, there needs to be discussion, and that discussion must reach a conclusion, before the changes are placed into the article. You're making large changes on Sport in Malaysia, including a lot of text removal, and not explaining why. Please explain what you think should change and why on Talk:Sport in Malaysia. Regards, CMD (talk) 12:30, 14 August 2013 (UTC)Reply

I don't see why any of the present sections need be removed, given they're all valid topics. I also don't see why images should be clustered in a gallery without context when they can be distributed to areas where readers will understand what they represent. Also, you can reply on this talkpage and I will see it. It's easier to read the conversation if it's kept in one place. Regards, CMD (talk) 14:22, 14 August 2013 (UTC)Reply

Proposed deletion of Soo Teck Zhi edit

The article Soo Teck Zhi has been proposed for deletion because it appears to have no references. Under Wikipedia policy, this newly created biography of a living person will be deleted unless it has at least one reference to a reliable source that directly supports material in the article.

If you created the article, please don't be offended. Instead, consider improving the article. For help on inserting references, see Referencing for beginners, or ask at the help desk. Once you have provided at least one reliable source, you may remove the {{prod blp}} tag. Please do not remove the tag unless the article is sourced. Reliable Sources Required For Editing edit

I noticed that you’ve recently edited Lee Chong Wei career statistics. In particular, you’ve included Lee Chong Wei’s year-end ranking before the year of 2008. While I did not claim that your included false information in your editing, you should understand that Wikipedia’s article cannot contain original research. Please read Wikipedia:No original research for further information. I welcome your editing provided that you can cite reliable sources, for example, the official documents from BWF. Thljcl (talk) 13:04, 27 September 2013 (UTC)Reply

As a matter of fact, the link (http://tournamentsoftware.com/tournamentlist.aspx?id=2) you mentioned IS NOT the direct source for Lee Chong Wei’s participation in BWF-sanctioned tournaments. While this link (http://tournamentsoftware.com/find.aspx?a=8&oid=209B123F-AA87-41A2-BC3E-CB57133E64CC&q=50152) is the web page from the same web site, which includes the links to all BWF-sanctioned tournaments which Lee Chong Wei has participated. Did you see the difference even though both are from the same web site? For each information you include, you need to cite a reliable source. For example, if I want to include the Lee Chong Wei’s World Ranking from the year of 2008 to the year of 2013, I must include the reliable source. The reason I did not include Lee Chong Wei’s year-end ranking before the year of 2008 is because there is no such information from BWF web site. I used the first week of the year of 2009 to be counted as year-end ranking for the year of 2008 as the ranking is counted based on the previous 52 weeks. I do agree that BWF itself uses Tournament Software web site to provide information for the current World Ranking as well as BWF-sanctioned tournaments. But the home page of Tournament Software cannot be regarded as a source; it can be used to search for information other players or tournaments as well. Happy Editing. Speedy deletion nomination of Goh Soon Huat edit

Hello Alexey88,

I wanted to let you know that I just tagged Goh Soon Huat for deletion, because the article doesn't clearly say why the subject is important enough to be included in an encyclopedia.

If you feel that the article shouldn't be deleted and want more time to work on it, you can contest this deletion, but please don't remove the speedy deletion tag from the top.

Non-free uploads edit

Hi Alexey. I've noticed you've uploaded various images, route maps of cycle races in Malaysia. For instance, File:Route of the 2011 Jelajah Malaysia.png, File:Route of the 2012 Tour de Langkawi.png, File:Route of the 2012 Jelajah Malaysia.png, File:Route of the 2013 Tour de Langkawi.png, File:Route of the 2014 Tour de Langkawi.png, File:Route of the 2012 Tour de Borneo.png, File:Route of the 2013 Jelajah Malaysia.png, File:Route of the 2015 Tour de Langkawi.png. In my opinion, these are all non-free images that do not fall under our non-free content criteria. You have tagged them as logos, which they aren't, and they are certainly replaceable. I'm therefore tagging them all for deletion. If you would like to respond, please do so here or on my talk page. Relentlessly (talk) 09:02, 8 March 2015 (UTC)Reply

Alexey, I see that you've disputed each of the images I've tagged. That's fine, but you do need to provide a reason. The tag needs to look something like this:
{{di-replaceable fair use disputed|Your reason that a free replacement can not be found or created}}
You need to explain why a free image cannot be created to replace the images. Relentlessly (talk) 08:07, 9 March 2015 (UTC)Reply

Orphaned non-free image File:2014 Asian Cycling Championships logo.gif edit

Thanks for uploading File:2014 Asian Cycling Championships logo.gif. The image description page currently specifies that the image is non-free and may only be used on Wikipedia under a claim of fair use. However, the image is currently not used in any articles on Wikipedia. If the image was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why it was removed. You may add it back if you think that that will be useful. However, please note that images for which a replacement could be created are not acceptable for use on Wikipedia (see our policy for non-free media).

Note that any non-free images not used in any articles will be deleted after seven days, as described in the criteria for speedy deletion. Thank you. Stefan2 (talk) 00:01, 19 March 2015 (UTC)Reply

Non-free rationale for File:2014 Asian Cycling Championships logo.gif edit

Thanks for uploading or contributing to File:2014 Asian Cycling Championships logo.gif. I notice the file page specifies that the file is being used under non-free content criteria, but there is not a suitable explanation or rationale as to why each specific use in Wikipedia is acceptable. Please go to the file description page, and edit it to include a non-free rationale.

If you have uploaded other non-free media, consider checking that you have specified the non-free rationale on those pages too. You can find a list of 'file' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "File" from the dropdown box. Note that any non-free media lacking such an explanation will be deleted one week after they have been tagged, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If the file is already gone, you can still make a request for undeletion and ask for a chance to fix the problem. If you have any questions, please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. Stefan2 (talk) 18:50, 20 March 2015 (UTC)Reply

Malaysian records in athletics - junior edit

Hey Alexey88! First thank you for your good work! You recently added more than one record per discipline, f.e. 400h hurdles or decathlon without explanation due to the lower times/scores. Is there a ratification problem with the best times/scores? Greets.Montell 74 (talk) 13:41, 29 July 2016 (UTC)Reply

@Montell 74: Based on this link, http://gms.sukmasarawak2016.my/RS2016/bm/general/Olahraga%20Sukma.htm , I found some Sukma Games records by those junior athletes aged below than 20 years did not being updated in the National Junior Record (https://web.archive.org/web/20140821093628/http://maf.org.my/index.php/national-junior). Maybe that link was outdated.. To be precise, Youth records only include best records made by athlete below than 18 years old. Alexey88 (talk) 13:50, 29 July 2016 (UTC)Reply
