Please stop making changes to Indian place names against consensus

First of all, welcome to Wikipedia, and thank you for your contributions. Since you started in January, I have noticed that a recurring theme in some of your edits is to update names of cities, districts, and other related names in articles to their official name, such as attempting to change Faizabad to Ayodhya in this edit to Faizabad (Lok Sabha constituency) on January 28. Your edit was undone an hour later, because Wikipedia does not rely on the official names, but generally uses the WP:COMMON NAME to identify a topic. This is determined by consensus of interested and participating editors on the Talk page of the article concerned. In the case of the article Faizabad district, you can see the current consensus here; in the case of the article Faizabad division, the current consensus is here, and extends to all "Faizabad" articles. Most recently, in this edit, you changed "Allahabad" to "Prayagraj" at the Allahabad article; this was undone within ten minutes, once again due to observance of WP:COMMONNAME and consensus (here). The reverting editor observed that you "must have seen the big red notice... please do not change Allahabad to Prayagraj in this article". Indeed, you must have seen it, and yet you ignored it and changed the article anyway. If this is repeated, it could be seen as disruptive, so please don't do that.

In addition, you unilaterally moved the article Faizabad Junction railway station to Ayodhya Cantt Station and changed the names in the article to match; once again, your changes were rapidly undone. Making a controversial move of an article to another name without gaining consensus first on the Talk page of the article is contrary to our page move guidelines, especially so when there are all these other issues surrounding it, and multiple Rfc's confirming it. Moving a page while having the knowledge to observe all the requirements is more of an advanced skill at Wikipedia; going forward, I'd recommend that you not make any further page moves of articles until you are more familiar with the guidelines. Instead, start a discussion at the Talk page first, proposing your move, and follow WP:RM#CM for any move you wish to make.

You are still a new editor, so you get a certain amount of latitude as you come on board and learn the policies and guidelines here, because making mistakes is how you learn. But after having your page move undone and your name changes repeatedly reverted by multiple editors, you should begin to understand now that your changes of this nature do not have support from the community, so please stop making them.
