Hi! I will be reviewing this in the next few days. Sainsf (talk · contribs) 13:18, 9 June 2016 (UTC)Reply

Fairly well-written, only a few comments: Sainsf (talk · contribs) 14:41, 9 June 2016 (UTC)Reply

Lead
  • in a 14-year career in the Football League It may be helpful to give the years he was active in a (x–y) form here. Something similar may look good near a seven-year international career.
  • You can add "Irish club" before "Glentoran" as you have done for Waterford.
    • I'd say it's not needed as it goes on to say he won the Irish Cup and Irish League with Glentoran, but its up to you.--EchetusXe 20:47, 9 June 2016 (UTC)Reply
  • distinctive appearance of pale skin and bright ginger hair and sideburns Maybe shorten this to "distinctive pale skin, bright ginger hair and sideburns"? (Also in "Style of play")
  • Does "insurance" need a link? (Also in "Personal life")
Ireland
  • When you begin with the main article, you should write the full name of the person
  • two jobs as a factory worker "...two jobs: as a factory worker..."
  • Does "housekeeping" need a link?
  • he was too small Too "young" if it refers to age, or "short" if it refers to height?
    • I'd say bulk would also be included, but probably mainly height.--EchetusXe 20:47, 9 June 2016 (UTC)Reply
Stoke City
  • A few images would give this a more interesting look.
  • "Friendly" may be appropriately wikilinked.
  • more cartilage in his knees "from" and not "in", I think
  • "John Mahoney" is a duplink
Later career
International career
  • Both of these games...France finished third. Source?
  • Duplinks: Shamrock Rovers and XI, Lansdowne Road
Style of play
  • Italics for "Daily Express".
  • "Victoria Ground" is a duplink, but linking it may be relevant here
Personal life
  • Begin section with "Conroy".
Honours
  • Source for the last point?

No copyvio detected. Will check sources later. Sainsf (talk · contribs) 15:26, 9 June 2016 (UTC)Reply

OK, thank you for the comments. I have found them useful.--EchetusXe 20:47, 9 June 2016 (UTC)Reply

Alright, done with the above issues. Moving on to sources: Sainsf (talk · contribs) 11:19, 10 June 2016 (UTC)Reply

  • Assuming good faith for offline inaccessible sources.
  • Page ranges for refs 1 and 11?
    • I've asked the guy with those books to add them.--EchetusXe 17:52, 10 June 2016 (UTC)Reply
  • I expect each point in the infobox is sourced, there or somewhere else in the article?
    • Yeah: birthplace and date, height, position, stats.--EchetusXe 17:52, 10 June 2016 (UTC)Reply
  • A note on the top of the section "International" saying ref 7 supports everything in it would be helpful, as in the preceding section.
  • It is better to name the publisher properly whenever you can, instead of using the website name. For example, you can say Rec.Sport.Soccer Statistics Foundation instead of rsssf.com (ref 59)

Great, can be promoted now. Sainsf (talk · contribs) 08:48, 11 June 2016 (UTC)Reply
