SR HEX colour codes edit

Does anyone know what the HEX code is for the region colour?

The same goes for the other regions.

Any help would be greatly appreciated, and rewards will be given!

Thanks,

Irrelevant info edit

There is quite a bit of detailed info on this page referring to what has happened long after BR southern region ceased to exist. I think anything after BR became sectorised should either be very brief or moved / linked to another page. Could have a section called 'post BR Southern Region events' but not keen on that myself. Any objections to reducing the info relating to after the BR Southern Region was abolished? — Preceding unsigned comment added by 109.149.224.80 (talk) 19:34, 6 October 2015 (UTC)Reply

Obsolete talk page importance rating edit

I am not sure what era wikipedia railway editors inhabit but it is certainly not the same one as for roads. The article is about an obsolete entity at a time when railways were very rarely still built; since 1945 railway building has almost ground to a complete halt except for many short tourist lines, but those errors are poor excuse to dwell on this article as being of high current relevance to British railways. The region was not even instrumental to the building of most of these lines, it was a sort of "swansong of the heyday" stopgap name, arrangement and way of life which took nominal direct control and responsibility for making and operating many locomotives and signals still functioning today but is hardly the "without which nothing" of any main aspect of British railways. In fact as original research (probably) I bet critics have said its systemic lack of competition, innovation and automation cemented the role of drivers' and executives' unions and their top-level malaise which accelerated the decline in competitiveness of the railways altogether, coupled with government policies on roads. Those who ascribe an overstated importance of "mid" and national importance of "high" to this one-time region which was very little the perpetrator of a never fully reversible period of decline — it was one of its footnotes — are shooting the sector in the foot. When we adopt a more positive and progressive attitide these halycon ratings will change.- Adam37 Talk 19:40, 5 March 2018 (UTC)Reply
