Gerda Arendt - I added another source (#5) that notes she was with the El Paso Opera and Amarillo Opera and here [1] it says she performed Elizabeth Procter in The Crucible (though it was a student production) and Katisha in The Mikado. Though, I don't necessarily object if you think it would be better to just genericize it to "singer". Chetsford (talk) 08:55, 16 July 2018 (UTC)Reply

EricCable According to the source, she got her MBA while in service (this could be better presented to clarify that point), though she still had a BM degree at the point of enlistment. However, almost all enlisted US military musicians have university degrees due to the competition involved since there are only a few hundred available slots relative to an MOS like infantry or armor and all musician billets are enlisted except for band directors. (And band directors are commissioned from the enlisted ranks through OCS, though as a vocalist she'd never be qualified to direct a band anyway other than maybe the Army Soldiers' Chorus or the Sea Chanters.)
