RE: Proposed deletion edit

SNUGGUMS added proposed deletion tag to article. Concerns were "content forking" and that content could be summarised in Living For Love article.

Radio 1 Madonna controversy is a genuine controversy that gained traction in the UK in February 2015, prompting the BBC to release several separate statements defending Radio 1's music policy and accusations of discrimination. Story was covered in mainstream media such as The Independent, The Guardian, and, of course, the BBC themselves. The story covered by the media concerns the music policy of a publicly-funded broadcaster and allegations of ageism, rather than Living For Love per se. For these reasons, I propose that this is a genuine controversy worthy of its own article and shouldn't be merged.

This development is just as noteworthy as other 2015 controversies that have their own Wikipedia page, including Gamergate controversy, Question Time George Galloway in Finchley controversy, and Deflategate, as well as previous BBC controversies, such as The Russell Brand Show prank telephone calls row and List of songs banned by the BBC.
