to avoid responsibility
editThis makes it sound like her suicide was a cowardly thing. Perhaps she committed suicide to avoid torture and the possibility of giving the names of her revolutionary friends, or to avoid being made a spectacle that might encourage others to avoid becoming revolutionaries, or to avoid giving the British their sadistic pleasure, or to avoid being raped. Is it known that she was trying "to avoid responsibility"?

editA photo is already in place. Thanks --Tarif from Bangladesh 08:49, 21 September 2007 (UTC)
Nationality
editPritilata's nationality is mentioned as Bangladeshi; unfortunately during her brief life, the country was non-existent.
It should be corrected to Indian.
During this period, Chittagong was part of British India. chami 16:39, 11 March 2012 (UTC)
European Club
editThe photo of the pahartali club appears to be a recent one. Perhaps some old (original) photo from some newspapers can be copied, without breaking any law? Else, the date of the photograph may be mentioned, at least for the sake of accuracy. chami 16:51, 11 March 2012 (UTC) — Preceding unsigned comment added by Ck.mitra (talk • contribs)
In European club, it was written "Dogs and Indians are not allowed". No mention of it?Ovsek (talk) 15:17, 18 February 2014 (UTC)
here in third para. It is impossible to find such photo from that club but reference is found.Ovsek (talk) 04:29, 13 March 2014 (UTC)
- It's extremely unlikely that there was any such sign. It would have been pointlessly inflammatory and the club would presumably have had Indian staff. Khamba Tendal (talk) 17:50, 30 March 2023 (UTC)
The attack
editSome more details need to be supplied about the "attack." What did it involve? The article mentions explosives, but what was the plan? What caused the police to start shooting? Was anyone in the club injured or killed?
