- ... that Luke Prokop is the first player under contract with a National Hockey League team to come out as gay?

- Article meets DYK requirements, I didn't detect any close paraphrasing (the link that Earwigs detected is a Wikipedia mirror and copied from us rather than the other way around), and the hook is mentioned inline and verified. QPQ is still pending. Despite opposition among some DYK editors against "first" hooks, I don't think that's an issue here since the hook fact is very interesting in itself. My only concern with the hook is that readers who are less familiar with the NHL may have the impression that he is currently playing for an NHL team when in fact he's merely under contract to one but is still playing in a development league; if there was a way this could be addressed that would be great. - @Muboshgu:, this nomination is now more than two weeks old and no QPQ has been supplied. Please see RfC on Excessively late supply of QPQ credits which agreed on a one-week timeline. Please take care of the QPQ promptly. Flibirigit (talk) 14:31, 3 August 2021 (UTC)
- @Narutolovehinata5 and Flibirigit: apologies for the delay. I forgot about this nom. QPQ provided. – Muboshgu (talk) 16:43, 3 August 2021 (UTC)
As for the hook, this is how the sources have presented it. How to make it more clear that he's not yet in the NHL.... – Muboshgu (talk)

- ALT2: ... that Luke Prokop, an ice hockey prospect, is the first player under contract with a National Hockey League team to come out as gay?
- I think ALT2 solves my concerns, since it makes it clear that he isn't an NHL player yet. Since a QPQ has now been provided, this should be good to go now. Narutolovehinata5 (talk · contributions) 06:06, 4 August 2021 (UTC)
