Romanization
editPlease to stick to the Hepburn romanization, which is the de facto standard. "Eli" should be "Eri." "Nico" should be "Niko." "Kizaka" should be "Kisaka." 76.169.37.208 (talk) 23:48, 15 January 2013 (UTC)
- 音ノ木坂 is pronounced Otonokizaka, not Oto no Kisaka.--十八 00:28, 16 January 2013 (UTC)
- May I have an explanation if you disagree? 木坂 is the same set of kanji used in Kisaka Station. The Japanese Wikipedia also says it should be read as きさかえき. Thanks. 76.169.37.208 (talk) 00:54, 16 January 2013 (UTC)
- Note for all who can't read (because of lacking Japanese Skills) or see (unsupported by System/Browser or alike)
- The Kana written above are read as Kisaka Eki (means Kisaka Station)
- My1xTreme 03:46, 16 January 2013 (UTC)
- This is a common occurrence in Japanese words when a sound changes from it's non-voiced version to it's voiced or dakuten version; in this case, さ becomes ざ. You can see this happen in Nogizaka Haruka no Himitsu, for instance. In any case, the Japanese wiki for the series specifically gives the pronunciation as Otonokizaka.--十八 04:40, 16 January 2013 (UTC)
- Yeah 18, I know, but I didnt know that it happens here, good 2 know...
- My1xTreme 08:17, 16 January 2013 (UTC)
- I was replying to the IP.--十八 11:16, 16 January 2013 (UTC)
- then set less : (dunno how it is called in english), then we can see that this isnt a reply to me, but that IP or wirte it so the you cant misread it like starting with @User or alike)
- however, the explanation was very nic3

хорошо
editIsn't it better to keep the IPA for it? 76.169.37.208 (talk) 05:34, 24 March 2013 (UTC)
- Or maybe a Link to the Wiktionary
- My1xTreme 09:38, 24 March 2013 (UTC)
- Yes, or that. "Harasho" is just Japan's way of saying it. To Russian speakers, that's not exactly how it's pronounced. 76.169.37.208 (talk) 03:32, 28 March 2013 (UTC)
- Yeah, coz the Japanese language hasnt got something for the russian "х", so the used h, which is the closest one (@least I think that.

Weiss Schwarz
editShould it be mentioned that Weiss Schwarz has a Love Live! Booster Set? — Preceding unsigned comment added by Mushroomish (talk • contribs) 21:09, 4 August 2014 (UTC)
Probably irrelevant in this article, as IDOLM@STER and Aikatsu! have them, but the articles don't mention it. I suppose if there was a way to build an entire deck around Love Live or the aforementioned series, it may be relevant. I haven't played Weiss Schwarz in several years though, so there may be more cards than I'm aware (I think there's only like 12)... — Preceding unsigned comment added by 64.134.228.20 (talk) 00:32, 20 November 2016 (UTC)
English Title
editThe English title does not feature a space. It is 'LoveLive!'. Just a change to consider. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 180.43.8.151 (talk) 03:16, 22 October 2014 (UTC)
- While the official logo is generally rendered without a space, it is otherwise referred to with a space by reliable sources, and NIS America: "Love Live! School Idol Project 1st Season Premium Bonus Set", "Love Live Tear-resistant poster", "Love Live! Weiß Schwarz card", etc.--十八 06:47, 22 October 2014 (UTC)
Suggest move List of Love Live! characters to separate article
editAs title said.....with addition of LL Sunshine it would be better to move to separate article. -- John123521 (Talk-Contib.) RA 01:54, 11 March 2016 (UTC)
- There aren't enough reliable, secondary sources to warrant a split. As it stands, the section should be pared down and sourced where possible (especially for the claims that aren't simply plot). czar 00:38, 16 April 2016 (UTC)
Missing citations at Love_Live!#Aqours
editI would like to bring to your attention that the character settings mentioned in Love_Live!#Aqours has almost no citations. 108.91.72.194 (talk) 07:25, 21 March 2016 (UTC)
Split Sunshine into its own article?
editGiven how the Sunshine anime is now airing, and given precedent articles like The Idolmaster and Pretty Cure, should the article be restructured into one about the franchise and split off the information on Sunshine into its own article? Narutolovehinata5 tccsdnew 06:47, 4 July 2016 (UTC)
- Even if Sunshine got its own article, I think it's a little early to consider a franchise article when there is only Love Love and Sunshine (unlike Idolmaster and Pretty Cure which have over 10 separate games/anime). Once Sunshine gets its own manga/novels/games, I think an additional article would make sense, though.--十八 08:22, 4 July 2016 (UTC)
- Sunshine already has its own manga IIRC. At the very least, it has its own drama CDs. Narutolovehinata5 tccsdnew 08:51, 4 July 2016 (UTC)
- I don't see any problem. Other media aside, the character lists and lists of songs are sizeable enough on their own. Wonchop (talk) 16:44, 23 July 2016 (UTC)
- I suggest that split out an article Love Live! Sunshine!!, then merge List of Love Live! Sunshine!! episodes into this article.--Liaon98 (talk) 12:37, 24 July 2016 (UTC)
- Even when the Sunshine article is created, I think the episode list should remain separate since it is very likely it will get a second season, too.--十八 10:41, 26 July 2016 (UTC)
- I agree with spliting. With current condition and that Sunshine has expanding as much as the original series, it would be a mess to keep them in one article.
--Yukinotane (talk) 05:09, 1 August 2016 (UTC)
- Split would be my vote. Sunshine is its own separate spinoff series with completely different characters etc. Even if it is just one anime, I think it makes sense to give it its own page. —ajf (talk) 21:13, 8 August 2016 (UTC)
I agree with the split. Besides all the reasons already given, the article is also getting too long.--Cattus talk 15:15, 29 August 2016 (UTC)
Additional Characters from the iOS
editThis is a really stupid idea (and probably will be rejected), but with the giant amount of additional characters in School Idol Festival (who have profiles and self-introductions), could I add them into the character section? I realize that most if not all the additional characters wouldn't get more than about two or three sentences, and there's about 700 of them, but I think it's relevant, since they ARE part of the series (I don't know if the iOS game is considered canon, though)... — Preceding unsigned comment added by 50.204.132.195 (talk) 20:54, 29 September 2016 (UTC)
Pronunciation
editThis title requires a pronunciation guide. Is "Live!" pronounced as "a live broadcast" or as in "live your life?" — Preceding unsigned comment added by 184.188.218.71 (talk) 13:19, 11 May 2017 (UTC)
- As in "live concert", and the Japanese romaji for live, "raibu" (ライブ), already makes this obvious.--十八 20:21, 11 May 2017 (UTC)

SiIvagunner?
editAre we going to acknowledge the Snow Halation meme on SiIvaGunner's channel, or does that break a rule I don't know about, or am I the first fan to even visit this page? Schnozzberry64 (talk) 23:42, 8 June 2017 (UTC)
- Probably not since neither Snow Halation or SiIvaGunner seem to have an article of their own. Also there's the fact that such information would likely amount to trivia for this article. Sakura CarteletTalk 23:01, 3 January 2018 (UTC)

Love Live! → Love Live! School Idol Project – There was a short discussion earlier this year at Wikipedia_talk:WikiProject_Anime_and_manga/Archive_73#Making_an_overarching_page_for_Love_Live!_as_franchise about creating a franchise page for Love Live! to serve as an overview of the entire series, since we're now getting to the point that things will be getting very complicated across the various series and games and how they relate to each other, kind of like The Idolmaster before that franchise page was created. So I drew up User:Juhachi/Love Live! which I believe is ready to go live now, but to do so would require moving this page to Love Live! School Idol Project which is the official title given to the first installment to the franchise, and then have Love Live! open for the franchise article. 十八 07:30, 10 December 2020 (UTC)

- Support Per nom. Love Live! became the franchise as it has now 4 separate projects. So moving to School Idol Project for μ's-focused article, while reworking Love Live! article to an overview article for the whole franchise is great idea. Great progress in your draft. --Stylez995 (talk) 01:54, 12 December 2020 (UTC)
