Jackpot World

Jackpot World is a free casual mobile game owned by the Hong-Kong based social casino games company SpinX Games[1][2][3] and launched in 2018.[4]

The game can be played on mobile phone, tablet, or PC. It can be downloaded on Google Play, Apple App store, Amazon Appstore, Huawei AppGallery or Microsoft Store.

History

Jackpot World was first released on iOS on 16th March 2018[5][6] and the Android version was launched in May 2018.[7][8] Initially, the game was called DAFU Casino (Chinese name: 大福娛樂城). The game was renamed Jackpot World in November 2020.[9]

Jackpot World is currently operated by SpinX Games Limited, which was acquired by South Korean game developer Netmarble Corporation in August 2021.[6][10][11][12][13][14]

According to data collection sites, until May of 2024, it already had 30 million users,[15]  entering the top download list of application publishing platforms in United State, German and Japan from 2022.[16][17]

Jackpot World is published in 97 countries around the world.[5] The game has been localized in the following languages: Thai, Spanish, French, German, Italian, Japanese, Polish, Dutch, Portuguese, Turkish, Simplified Chinese and Traditional Chinese.[8]

Major Event

In 2023, Jackpot World held its fifth anniversary event, awarded 50 fortunate winners and a companion of their choosing (making it 100 players in total) with a comprehensive trip to Las Vegas, spanning from September 28 to October 1, 2023.[18] This prize encompassed a 4-day, 3-night lodging at the Encore Hotel, round-trip flights, a tailor-made gift bag and a gaming competition. Four influencers were also in attendance: The Big Jackpot and Jackpot Jackie Slots,[19][20] renowned for their slot machine content on YouTube and Facebook; SayHiToMatthew[21][22] and Norma Geli,[23][24] lifestyle influencers residing in Vegas.

Gameplay

Jackpot World operates on a "freemium" principle, with free sign-up and essential game functions. The game includes options for in-app purchases to boost the gaming experience, and players have the choice to spend money to obtain coins and enhance their gameplay.

Jackpot World offers more than 200 slot machines. Each slot machine has different gameplay and graphics, with diverse themes and styles. There are various types of slot machines, including classic slots, multiplier slots, and progressive jackpot slots, each with its own set of rules and potential payouts.

Pachislot

In 2022, Jackpot World introduced a new feature called Pachislot,[25][26][27] which is a cross between pachinko machines and classic slot machines originating in Japan and is widespread in pachinko parlors. A pachislot is equipped with three reels that display a range of symbols on the gaming panel.[28][29] The aim of playing pachislot is to gather an increased number of tokens by stopping the reels at a point where the symbols align in a winning combination. As of April 2024, there were 7 pachinko games.[30]

Fish Shooting

In 2024, Jackpot World launched Ocean Lord, a fish shooting game. Players assume the role of deep-sea hunters, using cannons to target a variety of marine life. Additionally, the game boasts a co-op mode, accommodating up to four players who can either compete against or work together in the same game session, with each participant's moves influencing the others.

Social Gameplay

Jackpot World support the feature that players can communicate within the game, called Unions. Players can form groups together inside the game to earn more bonuses and help each other progress through the various challenges.

Some slot machines also support players playing the same machine together. After reaching certain conditions, players will be qualified with free spins or multipliers etc. Gamers can interface with their friends and other players internationally, they can share their successes, transmit virtual gifts, or engage in competition with each other.[31]

Game currency

The game currencies used in Jackpot World are called coins and gems. It is a common currency system for mobile casino games. Players can obtain them for in-game activities or directly purchase it. Jackpot World offers several ways to obtain coins besides direct purchase.
