Lead section Citations edit

Many of the articles I have looked at contain few if any citations in the opening paragraphs/lead section. The citations are generally distributed through the main sections of the article. I have not been able to find an article that documents this practice.

I follow this practice in this draft. The exceptions are the two GA quotes as they are not referenced elsewhere.

Lead Section Undocumented Adulation edit

There are no citations to support the following assertion:

George Armour was a rags to riches story. Armour lived the American way of life. Armour epitomized the American Dream.

I am trying to think of ways at arriving at such a conclusion following Wikipedia guidelines, but it's not easy as GA seemed to have taken an active role in leading a non-written-about life.

Legacy Section edit

This section is longer and more detailed than legacy sections in most biographies.

On the other hand it is certainly rare for one person to have been involved in founding so many institutions and methodologies/practices that continue to live on to this day.

I look forward to discussing how best to commemorate the legacy and keep withing Wikipedia guidelines.

Working Bibliography edit

Here is my working bibliography for the draft of an article on George Armour. Among the few treasures there are many loose and dead ends:

Some of the references - a small minority - are included as sources in the draft article.
