Dubious

"the first orphan ever elected to office" - from self published bio. Highly doubtful that this is true. Almost impossible to prove. --Bamyers99 (talk) 16:28, 23 February 2017 (UTC)Reply

Reliable source for "Speak Out Loud" and other non-profit work?

edit

Can anyone find a reliable source to use for the claims about her non-profit work? The only thing I see is her own bio. I don't see any evidence for the claims made here about the organization. The organization "Speak Out Loud" has a registered address of a house in Atlanta - https://www.georgia-register.com/13439556-speak-out-loud-inc - and there is no evidence for the claim in our article that "The organization has expanded across the country and has chapters in Nigeria." I can't even find any evidence that this is an active organization. --B (talk) 14:50, 22 July 2019 (UTC)Reply

@B: I couldn't find any, but according to her, it is Sapeles and Lagos, Nigeria, to be precise. wumbolo ^^^ 13:36, 23 July 2019 (UTC)Reply

Disputed account

edit

As the recent Publix encounter is a disputed he-said / she-said situation, I've tagged the article {{Current person}}. See this report by the The Atlanta Journal-Constitution. I'm not adding it to the article as it seems more prudent to simply wait for further developments. NE Ent 13:15, 24 July 2019 (UTC)Reply

Not done: it's not clear what changes you want to be made. Please mention the specific changes in a "change X to Y" format and provide a reliable source if appropriate. Melmann 15:27, 27 July 2019 (UTC)Reply

Publix

edit

Doug Weller posted concerns about this biography on WP:BLPN. Seeing that post, I edited down the section about the supermarket. This is a biography of a state lawmaker, not a tabloid. The incident, in the scope of her entire biography, is barely notable and to give it as much space as it had is WP:UNDUE. Mention it briefly. If anything else comes of it, add it then. An editor is trying to add this as an alleged hoax at Racial hoax - the sources don't call it a hoax. Doug Weller talk 05:34, 3 October 2019 (UTC)Reply

A search of WAPO turns up only a short piece on the same day from AP. Maybe we should use [1] or [2]? --Doug Weller talk 07:54, 3 October 2019 (UTC)Reply
