Unnecessary, but thank youEdit

Thank you for your brief note at the arbitration case, but honestly, I never felt you attacked me. I felt you were a bit pointy, but for me it was not over the line (and I feel I basically gave as good as I got). I do, for the record, think you a good editor and I value your contributions--even though I suspect we'd disagree on a great deal. If you will accept some unasked for advice, I would humbly ask that you be a bit more careful in article space--sometimes you (or I!) have to live with an article in a shape we don't like. It's a marathon, as I am sure you know at an intellectual level. On talk pages, I think you go just a slight bit over the line. I would never ask that you not passionately advocate for your beliefs. Just try to remember that people can oppose you in good faith. I often type out a response to someone, then repeat my mantra "reasonable minds can differ," and completely rewrite my thoughts. If you remain engaged with the ideas proposed rather than the motivations for proposing them, it helps. Of course, you are well within your rights to ignore my advice and tell me to pound salt. All that being said, I wish you the best and hope you have a good weekend. Cheers. Dumuzid (talk) 21:07, 11 July 2019 (UTC)

A beer for you!Edit

For good editing on many pages, leavened with good humour on talk page where I recently delighted by your erudite consideration of the proper flavour of milkshakes. E.M.Gregory (talk) 22:01, 11 July 2019 (UTC)
