143 Abo Restiant Cooker edit

This should be mentioned in notable products. Its electric offcourse. It features hard wiring to the wall (So its harder to be pulled out and dragged outside) Easily changed over hard wiring, so when it ripped from the walls it can be repaired by elders. Steel faces oven door rather than glass so it doesnt shatter when abused. 24 Months Warrenty even tho the units have 3 Months life expectany. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 27.33.106.50 (talk) 09:57, 25 February 2011 (UTC)Reply

Expansion request edit

I think this article should be cleaned up. Is it fitting that the world's largest manufacturer of kitchen, cleaning and outdoor appliances should have so small an article? 59.93.128.73 09:11, 11 November 2005 (UTC)Reply

Nothing sucks like an Electrolux edit

I've heard that nothing sucks like a Vax, but not an Electrolux. Did both companies use this slogan? It would be nice to cite a primary source. -- Beland 20:02, 6 February 2006 (UTC)Reply

Only found http://dictionary.reference.com/search?q=VAX so far, mentioned on http://msgboard.snopes.com/cgi-bin/ultimatebb.cgi?ubb=get_topic;f=21;t=001038;p=1

Here's a new source of the UL (which also contains other proof of bad journalism like placing Germany behind the Iron Curtain and not knowing how to use a German-English dictionary): http://www.sfgate.com/cgi-bin/article.cgi?file=/chronicle/archive/2005/02/06/ING0VB42071.DTL

Both companies must have used it. I had only heard about Electrolux using it. Valentinian (talk) / (contribs) 23:52, 17 November 2006 (UTC)Reply

Fair use rationale for Image:Electrolux.gif edit

Image:Electrolux.gif is being used on this article. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is no explanation or rationale as to why its use in Wikipedia articles constitutes fair use. In addition to the boilerplate fair use template, you must also write out on the image description page a specific explanation or rationale for why using this image in each article is consistent with fair use.

Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to insure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.

If there is other other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on the other images used on this page. Note that any fair use images uploaded after 4 May, 2006, and lacking such an explanation will be deleted one week after they have been uploaded, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you.BetacommandBot 05:01, 3 June 2007 (UTC)Reply

WENNER-GREN edit

Wow... not one single mention of Axel Wenner-Gren at all in article about Electrolux. You go, Wikipedia - keep on being worthless! —Preceding unsigned comment added by 65.69.81.2 (talk) 16:25, 22 April 2008 (UTC)Reply

I added a brief mention of Axel Wenner-Gren. //Jesper —Preceding unsigned comment added by 213.212.17.246 (talk) 08:00, 24 April 2008 (UTC)Reply

JAS-39 edit

The Electrolux factory migration to Central and Eastern Europe was not only because of profit losses, but also because of the Gripen fighter plane selected for Hungary and the Czech Republic. The economic offset package for this significant military equipment deal included installation of swedish-funded industry in the two countries, e.g. Electrolux purchased the ex-socialist "Lehel" vacuum cleaner and refrigerator company in Hungary and started making Zanussi appliances there.

Now, that the offset package has been fulfilled, Electrolux group may move on to China or India or maybe just Romania for lower wages and maximum profits, leaving many hungarians unemployed. 91.83.16.142 (talk) 09:30, 3 May 2008 (UTC)Reply

Nothing sucks like an electrolux is true? edit

There seem to be major design and quality issues with some brands in this group but I can not find reliable references. Maybe somebody knows how to include NPOV performance info for products & shares? The share-price peaked in 2007, and slid back to around 70 SKr with a new rise in 2009 - presumably as consumers hit by the recession switched to economy brands? Info on shares here http://www.electrolux.com/share_price.aspx Timpo (talk) 16:51, 5 June 2009 (UTC)Reply

Adding monetary values in USD edit

Is there a way to put the assets, etc in USD as well? I don't know about other readers, but I am American and I don't really know what 1 SEK is worth, in USD or anything else. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 71.199.2.110 (talk) 01:15, 7 March 2010 (UTC)Reply

Putting the assets of every company in USD creates systemic bias. The readership of Wikipedia is not exclusively American - I'm sure Brits like myself would prefer the number in GBP, the Australians in AUD, the Eurozone Europeans in €, etc. Best in my opinion to leave numbers for each company in its reporting currency and use a currency conversion site if required. Incomprehensible sentence! edit

What is the sentence (in the Slogan section) "In Indonesia, the Electrolux previous slogans as 'Kalau saja semua seawet Electrolux'" supposed to mean? I'm not just talking about the Indonesian words, which aren't explained, but the whole sentence - perhaps "as" should have read "was", but since "slogans" is plural that doesn't work, and in any case I can only see one slogan. Quite a mess!213.127.210.95 (talk) 15:05, 7 December 2017 (UTC) I've just tried to find a translation on the Internet, and I get the impression that "seawet" isn't even an Indonesian word!213.127.210.95 (talk) 15:10, 7 December 2017 (UTC)Reply
