Building arrangement

edit

I'm just a casual browser. However: I visited this church in 1988. I'm surprised that the article does not mention about the way the building is arranged. On Aug 6th (the "day of the Transfiguration" in some church calender) the sun strikes a glass plate set into the floor so that the golden mosaic is briefly and (reportedly) spectacularly illuminated.

I know this sounds this sounds like something from "Indiana Jones" but I believe that arrangement would work as claimed. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 80.177.160.241 (talk) 22:47, 31 December 2008 (UTC)Reply

That is very interesting and I agree that it really is something we should write about. However I can't find any references. We can include what you just wrote anyway until we find some references. If you have some it would be great. Thank you.--Fipplet (talk) 13:12, 1 January 2009 (UTC)Reply
The exterior design of the Church of the Transfiguration is an obvious copy of a reconstruction made of this church - http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Turmanin —Preceding unsigned comment added by 93.97.143.19 (talk) 19:44, 30 August 2010 (UTC)Reply
