DAJF, please explain why you feel it necessary to constantly remove reference to the very well-sourced fact that this singer is transsexual. This singer's Wikipedia article in Japanese [1] even goes so far as to explain Nakamura Ataru's transition with citations to interviews given personally by the singer.

This talented trans woman is not deserving of having widely-disseminated information about her edited off her Wikipedia English page by overzealous fans, especially when this information can be sourced in Japanese to the extent that is consistent with the TOS there. - I think WP:BLP is pretty clear on this issue: personal details such as sexual orientation as that are not properly sourced must be removed. If you can provide reliable sources to verify the information, then that is fine. Note that the Japanese Wikipedia article does not represent a reliable or acceptable reference source. - That is why I sourced the video of her biography in the Kouhaku Uta Gassen, a program viewed by millions of people in Japan, which clearly states that she was born a male. This is not a matter of sexual orientation, it is a matter of well-documented personal history. The Japanese Wikipedia article clearly sources a number of interviews, which you are free to locate via said articles. You are also free to view the Kouhaku excerpt video, in which she appears personally, which begins with "born as a male." You are deleting based on the reader's lack of ability to comprehend non-English sources. That is a violation of Wikipedia's policy as foreign-language sources are acceptable and subject to verification by foreign language speakers. Please stop deleting something just because the subject matter makes you uncomfortable - it is well-sourced and widely available.
