The result of the move request was: not moved. Another RM may be appropriate if RS eventually switch over to using the subject's apparently preferred spelling (as happened with Coco Gauff). (non-admin closure) Colin M (talk) 17:07, 12 September 2019 (UTC)Reply

Artemi PanarinArtemiy Panarin – Panarin wishes to be known as Artemiy in North America per User:Rickyharder. Panarin's Instagram and Twitter are already carrying this name.  StarScream1007  ►Talk  12:36, 4 September 2019 (UTC)Reply

Oppose I don't believe that we name pages based on how people to refer to themselves. However, googling this new name yields "Showing results for Artemi Panarin". Thus, RS are not using this new name.-TonyTheTiger (T / C / WP:FOUR / WP:CHICAGO / WP:WAWARD) 01:56, 6 September 2019 (UTC)Reply
Comment - Artemiy has been used Russian-based English sources (see SKA St. Petersburg, Russian Ice Hockey Fed.). That said, the predominant spelling used in English media sources is Artemi. Sorta refrained from commenting though, cause this seemed to be an issue of Russian Romanization standards. Leventio (talk) 02:57, 6 September 2019 (UTC)Reply
